Cute little toy written in Dephi, but entirely useless for anything releated to cheat detection. Might be useful for collecting in-game snapshots, assuming you feel like setting up the rest of the infrastructure. A quick peek at the program shows no evidence of effort to protect its functionality from compromise or duplication.

Not to threadjack, but I'd rather run into random useless "anti-cheats" on NS servers. Please carry on...

Punkbuster did this, this is nothing new. I am assuming this anti cheat program takes a screenshot with the hack working. If not, it would be about as useful as cheating death.

If it does what its supposed to, then it should be decent for finding out who cheats and who doesn't, atleast for a wallhack. Can't screenshot an aimbot.

This is also assuming the latest version with no working cheats for it yet, and this is a large assumption.

Why can't you SS an aimbot prey tell? You're just assuming that because aimbotters generally don't share out SS. Most hacks dump alot of info on the screen that a normal player would not have. Almost definately dodgable, but it might catch your nub hacker now and then.

[edit] that is to say, assuming you can't write your hack to transfer clean screenshots (I don't know SS method used, it may not be exploitable) it should at very least catch ESP...

because when punkbuster was used in CS, it only caught wall hacks. Wall hacks were the most important cheat to catch because an aimbot was so obvious (due to constant headshotting, and snap aiming) that it could not be caught on a screenshot. Demos catch aimbotters, not screen shots <!--emo&:)--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/smile-fix.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='smile-fix.gif' /><!--endemo-->

The only way an aimbot can be caught is if the person is caught toggling it when the screenshot is snapped. This is highly unlikely.

You don't need a program to catch nub hackers, even the worst of admins are capable of that.

    This explanation should suffice.

That is certainly an accomplishment worth mentioning.

To personally solve the problem for yourself, it would be good find a community that has active admins, and be friend them as best as possible. That way you'll be protected from the massive among massive amounts of aimbotters and cheaters.

You might even get a reserve slot!

    Problem solved. Next.

wallhacks are relativly easy to catch because it draws the model as soon as data it sent to the client about it, so people tend to **** up and shoot through walls, or don't shoot when they should because they THINK they're behind walls

its ESP that's a flipping **** because people use squares to know where they are, and aim at the model.

Yes, i have seen a massive influx of new hackers visting the schamptons server. This just started in the last few days to a week ago.

Mostly speed hacks which are very easy to spot.

I rarely accuse people of cheating, I will point out when thier being an asshat.

    *cough* teppla *cough* <3

I've been seeing it a bit more often to, had one guy yesterday I went to spec him, was about to give up and go "meh, ok its just skill". Then outa nowhere he was in the hive, double kills two skulks lined up with a pistol (which was quite funny to watch), then zips to the left (apparently he locked on to the fade that just blinked below the hive which he couldnt see physically BTW and did not have MT) then his pov goes right back to where it was. Of course as if his habitually following/watching the floor levels/walls without MT wasnt somewhat of a sign.

I dunno, I'd say it was just a normal sign that the game is getting popular again. Of course to many people get thier panties in a wad.
