<div class="IPBDescription">Phosphorus</div> Some of you know that I'm a music producer. I've been doing it for a few years now, mustly using FLStudio.

I've done alot of Goa and Psytrance style stuff, but lately my music has gone very Jungle/Breakbeat based.

So, out of the slew of tracks I've been working up, <a href='http://ecstasisband.com/NEX-Phosphorus.mp3' target='_blank'>here's the best one: Phosphorus.</a>

Post some comments. Keep in mind, the song has a long way to go, and I need to find the perfect equilibrium for the 3 bass parts. Be prepared. The kick is deep.

Definately a good start. I would enjoy some more meat to it as the song grows (some more stuff mixed in) to get the song really moving, but I really like this as a base. Keep it up.

The goal is to add the "trance"ish melody more into the song. As it is, it comes in fairly randomly, with no build or preivew. The melody changes the song too much to not have some sort of intro and a fairly consistent presence in the song.

    Thanks for the feedback, though.

Also, check out my other songs, especially Place Forsaken.

While interesting effects, musically I can't say I like it. Too repetitive for my tastes.

It's fine man. I can't expect that everyone's going to dig that genre of music. I haven't really added in any of the "spicings" that distract the listener from the beat/bassline. The meat of the song is the beat/bassline, with a large helping of "trance synth" lead to really bang the song through. I just need to do more with it. I don't use "preview" music, but I like how this thread's turned out so far.

    Perhaps I'll keep doing this.

Its really nice, ill admit with the repetition and an almost completely rythm piece makes it more of a background peice in my mind. Though its not in the same style, i think its about the same quality as what went into some of the HL² ones.

    So i like it. <!--emo&;)--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/wink-fix.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='wink-fix.gif' /><!--endemo-->

Man, I can hear the fruity loops...

TBH, this isn't some of the best fruity loops trackage I have heard man, but then again mine is pretty tragic too. If you like it don't let my critique take away from that, but from one artist to another, I think you could do better.

Pretty good, this is perfect for Extreme G. A little rough with the sounds though.

I've said the same things before about people who've used FLStudio. I'm curious though, since pretty much none of the synths and samples are default, how do you hear it?

But hey, the song isn't nearly finished. It's still got another 3 minutes or so to go, and alot more expansion.

The repeditive buzz base I could SWEAR is a default base.

[Edit] also the first buzz you use could ONLY be created with the FLS OSC (which in my opinion is the WORST buzz channel generator I have ever seen) and it just REEKS of default FLS Sound filters. Also that loop that comes in at 1:04, that thing is just UGLY, I would put money on the guess that it is a 3x OSC sound, and it is just WAY off what any good trance buzz or sample would ever be.

Do you happen to know a decent free host that I won't have to donate my left arm too that is willing to host MP3s? I'd like to post some of my stuff and my bro's stuff (because he just PWNs) but I can't find one.

The first sound is 3xosc, but the second one that you're referring to is a Nord lead emulator called Synth1. I wasn't trying to create a perfect trance lead (this is a hardstep track at heart, a wussy trance lead would sound lame), so if it sounds a little ugly, that's a good thing.

Also, the distorted bass synth that runs throughout the song is another VST called Junglist. It needs a better loop, obviously.

You don't seem much into Jungle.

And if you're any good at what you produce, I'll host you on my domain. We're about to get our new site.
