    no, the next step logicaly is a 90 degrees turned shotty so the kick wont break your wrists but just throw itself behidn ya so a teammate could pick it up, no more shotty loss for marines then.

    and i want a holy grenade in ns that say "haaalelujja!" when you throw it.

    but the model rox, i mean the idea rocked already, its so fresh.

    Looking ok, abit to low poly. I'd also remove the piece on the handle, waste of polies and wont be seen ingame with the hand over it.

    i am very disapointed in ray & sid. Sid you are the best concept artist around here (imho), ALTHOUGH you lack the pysics of a gun. When you make a concept pick up something that mayreseble the gun and imagine how you would feel holding it.

    In this case because the basic shotgun in ns is a 10 g shotgun the kick back would be fairly far + all the wieght from that ginomous (and ugly) handel would make the kick back further and make the gun harder to controle. THis looks like something from a weird cheep game with a good modeler that can do better.

    Which incomes mr.ray. Mr. ray i am a fan to your work (Brigaderwolf, sheena, mr. ray <- from fav to 3rd fav. And yes sheena im a huge fan of your works.). Mr. ray out of all of sids buetiful concepts you picked the most ugly of all. Now you modeled an ugly gun buitfuly (which is an oxmoron) which basicy makes it ugly. It looks like a well made sphere with a well made cylinder popeing out of it (no not like a penor).

    Try somethign else of sids. I would use it, I want a nice shotgun but this i would never use ( i am stuck with the jin roh one which is not bad but isnt eye candy.)

    edit i need to add in a corection but i am too lazy to read my own crap so i ment 2 well made pipes sticking outa a half sphere. Well i guess with a good texture this would be nice.

    im sure theyve both heard the "think of yourself holding the weapon" story... but who needs it to be realistic... youre not gonna break your wrist in real life.. so just sit back and laugh at the v_model breaking his wrist....

    If you want realism, go shoot a gun. Since when has this game been remotely realistic anyways?

    Basically, the concept looks cool, and it'll look cool in game.

    slayerkl2: Nanites! Remember the nanites! I'm sure, according to real life physics, shooting a automatic rifle causes recoil, I'm also sure an M60 would be hard to charge with. This is game, is not realistic, it is futuristic, and is still fun.

    I will be skinning this (unless there is a death in the family, or I get some rare African disease). Send me the model and the UVmap when they are ready.

    ahh the nanite flames. I know that, but i dont think that your arms (nanites or not) can confortable hold a gun that way. And im not thinking about relism im really thinking about how frucjed up the arms would look in game.

    Sounds couterintuitive to me...the recoil would be working with gravity, and it'd be damn hard to aim.

    thnx for the comments guys.
    I was reading thru the forum and came across sid's concept and thought it was quite unique, wanted to see it in 3d so secided to model it. Dont feel like adding anymore to this cos I wasnt really intending to add this ingame, but i can upload the model file if anyone wants to finish this off or jus wants a closer look.

    I'm working on something else more interesting so i might post it later.

    It wouldn't break your wrist. Nothing, no matter how farfetched could break your wrist in the firearms world.

    Unless you got shot in the wrist.

    shoot a para resting against somethign with just your hand on the grip and finger on the triger. The jerk of each shot has a high chance of fracturing your wrist whicfh is almost as bad.

    I kinda forgot how to UVmap things. I used to be able to do it (effiectly too), but I have not modeled or meshed in over a year. (Err..ignore the aborted Chainsword skin, I didn't have Photoshop so my choice of things-I-could-do-or-use was very limited)
