I only get a distored green. Odd, especially since I probably got all codecs known to man. And to be sure I used the installer in the pack. <!--emo&:p--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/tounge.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='tounge.gif' /><!--endemo-->

You play WoW, n44bj, you wouldn't be professional even if sponsors threw money at you.

Not seeing NSJ1 when it originally came out (wasnt really much of a member of the forums back then, only posted like 3 times) NSJ2 really blew me back.

It took me a good 30 minutes to download, but for the quality of the picture and sound, it was worth it. But to top that, HOT NS jumps. Some of that jumping is just beyond reality cool, but I noticed some of the animations seem to play faster than they usually do.

So I have to ask, did you guys speed it up like x1.3 or something?

PS: I'll be willing to get owned by that, ANY DAY.

I made a slight mistake when I converted some of the clips from ns, causing them
to be recorded at 29 fps instead of 25fps. So yes, some of the clips have
    something like a 1.05-1.1x speed increase. :\

Fana, how many hours did it take?

I thought so... a few of the jump over stuff scenes looked a little lack luster (I would imagine because of low hang times), and some of the jump combo scenes were a little "O.O marines can't bhop that fast!"

Look out for cool fragmovies in the future though. You could always include mines into future NSJ's...

Let's just say that I started gathering jumps in September/October 2004.

<!--QuoteBegin--></div><table border='0' align='center' width='95%' cellpadding='3' cellspacing='1'><tr><td><b>QUOTE</b> </td></tr><tr><td id='QUOTE'><!--QuoteEBegin-->I thought so... a few of the jump over stuff scenes looked a little lack luster (I would imagine because of low hang times), and some of the jump combo scenes were a little "O.O marines can't bhop that fast!" <!--QuoteEnd--></td></tr></table><div class='postcolor'><!--QuoteEEnd-->
The unencumbered marine speed cap is actually 374, 74 units/sec faster than a
basic skulk running normally. The speed increase isn't really that noticeable in the
jump speed it self, but the animations look a bit strange at times.

Was extremely good, loved that tanith/sat jump owned <!--emo&:D--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/biggrin-fix.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='biggrin-fix.gif' /><!--endemo-->. Although I couldn't help but feel the music was inadequate.

But the basic skulk running speed is PAINFULLY slow. I wouldn't even know how to describe it, I never move that slow unless I just hit some inconvinent part of the map architexture.

I know an unincumbered marine is alot faster. I was doing some experiments with it myself the other day. Those things can be scary fast. Some of those clips you looked like you got up around 450-500 UPS! (although it could have been the way you were specced too...)

Try the <a href='http://www.k-litecodecpack.com/' target='_blank'>K-Lite Codec Pack</a>. I've never had a problem playing any video since I installed it.

No, do never <b>ever</b> (!) install <b>any</b> kind of codec packs. They <b>will</b> seriously damage you codec registry. Instead, try deinstalling your currend XviD Codec, and get the newest from <a href='http://www.koepi.org/xvid.shtml' target='_blank'>here</a> ("latest stable binary").

    Latest stable binary
    XviD-1.0.3-20122004.exe (621kb)

so, latest ver IS included with movie.
although i tried some diff. XviD versions and diff. players, i always get black screen with violet horizontal strip in the middle <!--emo&???--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/confused-fix.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='confused-fix.gif' /><!--endemo-->

file damaged wth? spent whole day dl'ing, don't tell me i have to do it again ;]

ps: that's why i prefer DivX over XviD, the second one causes trouble from time to time

Download the VLC media player if you really, really can't get it to work. It uses its
own codecs (that pretty much run as well as the normal ones), and any issues with
XviD compatability with other codecs are non-existant.

<b>thanks!</b> VLC plays this vid with ease, besides it looks like nice piece of software.

edit: allright, watched it few times. i like the editing, very nice job. animated models info was a great idea. music is great too (funk not dead!!!;] )

but... IMO it really missed FPP views. nsj1 was like a tutorial, as i could see exactly how you pulled all the stunts. in TPP i can see the gaps but can't really get the feel of covered distances or exact technique. maybe it helps to see how you use crouch-stand doublejump, but it's where TPP could be added for reference.
not the oposite proportions - TPP with some FPP.

and as you said already.. model animations look kinda.. strange <!--emo&;)--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/wink-fix.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='wink-fix.gif' /><!--endemo-->

other than that it's a great movie and definitively worth it's filesize! ;]

From a technical perspective, great job on editing and putting it all together, really well timed with the music and it all flows well, there's no slow parts dragging down the beat or anything. Also, even though the file is big, it's well worth it for the quality, hell the fan subs I get for animes aren't usually that good... DVD or not... very crispy and clean, specially for a videogame video where it's usually choppy. Really liked the music, not exactly my genre but I was grooving to it none the less, specially the second one, I liked the sythesizer solo that plays when the skulk is jumping around on Origin Roof. Really really liked your timing and blending of effects, espcially for the second song where you blurred it in time to the scratch effect of the song, very slick stuff. Did I mention I liked the timing?

Jumps were cool, some were "meh" as stated, but I'm not complaing, I can't do any better, but some were awesome, good stuff considering it's not a game designed for that kinda stuff. I just kept getting reminded of The Specialists video I have though, of the new jumping system when it first came out...

All in all good stuff, definately a top-tier videogame video in my archives. Keep it up and hope to see more. Now I gotta go see the first one...

txs ppl, that VLC player runned it.

I however still think its pathetic that it would not run for me, while I got so much codecs, including this one. <!--emo&:p--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/tounge.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='tounge.gif' /><!--endemo-->

I will be releasing all the demos in a few weeks, so if you want a tutorial, that shouldn't be a problem... <!--emo&;)--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/wink-fix.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='wink-fix.gif' /><!--endemo-->
