<div class="IPBDescription">the sequel to the popular nsj</div> I'm not going to elaborate a lot here, and instead just cut to the chase. Snippet
from the readme:
<i>This is the the sequel to Natural-Selection Jumped, a trickjumping movie
featuring jumps from the popular Half-Life mod Natural-Selection
(www.naturalselection.com). This time we've gotten even better jumps, better
editing, better quality -- better everything!</i>
The first NSJumped, although being my first movie ever, and lacking in several
departments, was downloaded over 2000 times recieved almost nothing but overly
positive feedback.
There are currently three download mirrors up:
<a href='http://esports.ampednews.com/?page=downloads&id=3649' target='_blank'>Mirror 1</a> courtesy of Ampednews. I'm pretty sure you need to be registered to download,
but it's free and there's no reason for you to not be registered anyway.
<a href='http://www.critek.ca/' target='_blank'>Mirror 2</a> courtesy of Critek.
<a href='http://www.knifegaming.com/media/files/nsjumped2.zip' target='_blank'>Mirror 3</a>
courtesy of knifegaming.com.
The movie is 8 minutes and 16 seconds long, and weighs in at a hefty 258
megabytes, although you'll understand why when you see it. If you're not too
happy about downloading a huge file without knowing that much about it
beforehand, you can also check out the NSJ2 trailer <a href='http://www.own-age.com/vids/video.aspx?id=3653' target='_blank'>here</a> .
More information about the movie can be found on www.knifegaming.com.
Enjoy!

Really nicely done, great work !
where can I get them <!--emo&:D--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/biggrin-fix.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='biggrin-fix.gif' /><!--endemo-->
No offence, but I suspect I know a fair bit more about compression than you do. <!--emo&;)--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/wink-fix.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='wink-fix.gif' /><!--endemo--> The file size is large, but you'll understand why when you see the quality. Most of the highest quality movies being made now do around 25-40 MB/min, NSJ2 does 32MB/min. It's big, but worth it in my opinion. Too bad for the dial-uppers though.
Some movies do credits with just a black background, or very little motion, which compresses very well. NSJ2 has full intensity all the time, bringing the file size up too.

All the jumps are done with everything default on the server, with no scripts of any kind. All the marine jumps were done with no weapons, and no upgrades except the ones where the catpack icon and sound shows up. All the alien jumps were done with no upgrades.
this.movie.ownes!

They are hawt, but consistency doesn't like them afaik. :\
Try searching for them in the customization forums, I think NSArmslab has them too.

I'm absolutely sure that the quality is good, that i can't doubt, it's just when it comes to things like this, size isn't always the main thing. Sure, it might have the best quality sound and best quality video, but you're asking people to download 250-260mb here, That's about 1 hour 20 minutes 512kb DSL and still a good 40 minutes on 1mbit, and i'm not even going to bother working out how long it'd take on dialup. And for what, 8 minutes and 16 seconds of footage.
I'm in no way saying that you don't know what you're doing, but i really think you should consider a sub-100mb version for those people who really just want to see it, and not spend 5-10x the duration of the video downloading it.

True that, but I've already decided not to release a watered-down version. My product is the full version, full quality, not a low quality version. To the people who have dialup, I'm sorry to say, that's too bad for you.
Thanks for the feedback, although the jumps in NSJ were pretty boring in comparison, in my opinion. It might have something to do with news value though, as doing jumps is not the hot new thing on the block anymore. It could also be the fact that we focused on really difficult to perform eye-candy jumps this time, whereas NSJ had a lot of easy "clever" jumps.

I really love how you edited that saturation to give NS a more colorful look <!--emo&:)--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/smile-fix.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='smile-fix.gif' /><!--endemo-->
Oh and btw, I found a jump mislabeled (It was beeing performed on caged but had the name of Hera something iirc).
