24 released. Whilenot as "Wow" factor as 23, it was still pretty good.

I noticed a couple of animation hiccups in 24...

Nothing serious, just where things seem to stop for a brief second.

This is the first time I've ever seen this stuff being a Star Wars fan myself I have to say its pretty damn cool indeed.

The clone troops were particularly awesome, and the "skirt" which really is more of a waist-cape looks pretty damn bad **** on that red guy.

Some times I'm glad I frequent these forums...

You really HAVE to see season one, if only for the two eps where Mace Windu lets loose. I don't think the movies have ever really shown us what a truly powerful jedi can do, but Mace vs. an entire droid army sans lightsaber shows you exactly what.

Absolutely true. Those were the two best episodes.

Anyone else think they should just scrap the movies and re-do the whole thing like these instead? XD

I've always liked the episodes which are Anakin vs Asajj (or whatever her name is). The parts where she takes out all the troopers with the force... it's like, the first time we actually see someone using the force in an utterly brutal way. Especially when she slams that guy against the tree about 10 times.

Any way they can pry lucas away from it is a step in the right direction.

I know, he screwed that whole thing up from the start. LIGHTSABERS? What the heck was he thinking? There's no WAY you can get a beam of light to just STOP in thin air! That guy's wacko. Replace him with Peter Jackson right away.

mid air? maybe not, but they have gotten light to stop in specially formed glass, then leave on demand.

Actually, if I understand the baloney science behind it, its not light so much as plasma, which theoretically could be made to act like that with electromagnetic forces (of course, I'm no physisist, so don't take my word for it). However, in such a state the plasma wouldn't actually be a cutting tool so much as a bludgeoning tool.

I just think the films were better when lucas wasn't directing them. And when he didn't have complete creative control.

When I watch the original starwars now I just laugh at how crappy the saber scenes are (obi wan and vader). If I could have the original series with the episode I/II fight scenes/ graphical touches I'd love them that much more. People seem to be so anti special effects with these movies but it's worked so well to make it more immersive. And lets face it, the originals do look 70s style futuristic.

It's a shame though because at the same time episode I and II lack the classical story telling the originals did. The "love" scenes are horrible along with jar jar.

Ah well, you win you lose with both styles of movie. I don't think that they are in any way bad movies. I just skip through the parts I don't want to watch.

Hah, plasma? No, it's a beam of light focused through a crystal.

Lucas actually calls Lightsabers "Laser Swords".
