Seige Turrets In Lan Mode Not Working

Been running command using Cheesey's bots, getting used to the controls and maps more than anything, but I've noticed that siege turrets aren't doing any damage to structures. They still kill aliens and players near them, but they're doing zero damage to towers/hive structures. This is just me farting around in hosted LAN mode, is there something I need to turn on to make these work? I can gague distance and find good placement points from the way it is, but it's bugging me that they don't work.

    Which map? I have some problems with sieges on ns_eclipse not doing any building damage also.

    It was ns_nancy when I first noticed it, but then yesterday I noticed that fade acid wasn't damaging turrets. I don't know what the problem is still.

    Uninstall NS, install NS 1.0 client. Try it out. If it occurs, install 1.01 server patch, try again. If it still happens, post here.

    I think someone posted about siege turrets sometimes doing 0 dmg to strucutures, think its a bug.

    I've seen this happen on several servers I've played on in the past few days. I don't recall exactly what versions they were running, but I'll keep it in mind to check from here on in. These servers all have the same following attributes (ie. if they have one, they have all)

    <ul>Seige turrets do no damage to buildings
    Grenades do no damage to buildings
    Acid Rockets do no damage to buildings
    Bile Bombs do no damage to buildings</ul>

    All the above do however do damage to players. This makes it very easy for marines to pin down an enterance that a gorg has built in simply by building three siege guns near that location. The resulting indefinate blasts will destroy anything that wanders through that area but will never destroy the buildings. This is a double edged sword, but is very effective for protecting a hive if you seal it up completely and can only gain access it to it by way of movement tower or phase gate.

    Just uninstalled and reinstalled up to 1.01 again. Tested it and they're still not working with the 1.01 patch on. I also noticed FoxFlames observation, it's not just siege turrets. Let me try it with just 1.0.

    Update: They're working fine in 1.0 without the patch.

    This is probably the first bug I've heard from the community all week that we didn't already long know about. If we can duplicate it at least.

    I'd be glad to give you any information that you think might help. I can give you a dxdiag or anything else you want. Just tell me what you need and point me where to send it.

    Basic system info for my machine is:

    OS:
    Microsoft Win XP Pro, (5.1 Build 2600), Service Pack 1

    Processor:
    AMD AthlonXP 2200+ 1.80 GHz

    Memory:
    512 MB PC 2100 Ram

    Motherboard:
    ASUS A7V333
    ACPI BIOS Version 1008

    Video:
    ATI Radeon 7200, 64 MB VIVO

    Sound:
    SoundBlaster Audigy

    Direct X:
    8.1 (4.08.01.0810)

    All drivers are up to date as far as I know.


    Edit:
    Siege cannons are working for me in the 1.02 patch again. Not sure what changed in there, but they look good again. I'll do more testing and make sure grenades/bile is working as well.
