<div class="IPBDescription">about alien nick names.</div> Does anyone remember a pic similar to this one back before we had actual official names?

Being boored due to waiting for the release of NS; the community had taken it upon itself to name the aliens. This led to some horrendus names. What we currently call the skulk had been attached to the name "bob".

Anyways, it got to the point MonsE actually Banned the word Bob from the forums. Yes, it filtered like a curse whenever you said it. Man, good times.

    well, the first names were:
    level 1, level 2, level 3, etc (or sometihng along the lines)

    some of them sorta had names (fatty is the only one I remember off the top of my head)

    Onos is bassed off of the first contact (in the back story) with the 5th evoloution where the only thing heard over the radio was a courus of OH NO! s (thus onos, yes that IS the offical reason)

    fade ussed to actualy fade (it had a LoS Teleport ability to it would fade in and out of battle)

    lerk lurks around the edge of battle

    gorge is fat (aka you gorge your self when you eat to much)

    And I THINK Flayra named them, though I am not possitive on that front...

    Fade got named blinky, to be honost nothing else really got decided on. Somone wanted to call onos "tiny" and somone else wanted to call him "fatty" or something. Oh my god! Does anyone still have those alien Chibi's that fam drew?

    I'd always heard it was: bob, fatty, flappy, blinky, and tiny. But even I wasn't actively around that long ago, so I can't say for sure. As for Moleculor, the very last post of his that I can see is from Nov. 2002, and he notes that he's been 'distracted by life'. Hopefully he's still out enjoying it.

    A friend of mine actively uses the name BoB^JoB as his alias in
    everything from IRC to ICQ, so when the first build of Natural-Selection
    was released I ran around the Messenger programs and told many people
    to download it. BoB^JoB wanted to read up on the mod and it's forums
    whilst it downloaded but the "bob" filter on the forums prevented him
    from being able to use his usual name.

    I'm pretty sure he posted something about it in the "Post Your Pic" thread.
