This is what Im working on at the moment, granted not for NS. So you can see why I dont really want to spend any more time on an outdated Marine model.

I'de give it a shot myself, but only if its converted to a format that milkie can handle, I know .obj can be imported by milkshape, but it's textures arnt aligned when i do that. If i somehow got my hands on a skinned milkie version its simply assigning verticies to the ns default player models skeleton from there.
yah, but one thing thats bugging me, he has no sleeves! there were gloves released for the gloves that he's using right now but i mean, wouldn't it make mroe sense if the dude had SOME arm armor?
see above post. I feel that naked arms in a battle situation lead to pain. Now, I'm no civil serviceman (yet), but the only time I've seen either a Marine or a pongo with their sleeves rolled up is when they're not out killing stuff. This is probably different for many other countries outside commonwealth, but, all troops have to wear lower arm protection. It's usually those dynamic pads that a made of little bits of crap, wrapped around the arm. Nobody's denying the coolness of this model, but i do think it needs some more cover. Bare arms lead to all kinds of skin disorders in space. It's just one bit of fade acid and blam, you have skin cancer.
EDIT:\\ On the note of animations. you can use the default skeleton but just reanimate it. If you want my honest opinion about what to do with animations, not much. the main problem is the standing and running poses, which are some of the easier things to animate. Look at the legs on the standing, he looks like a retard. Now, what needs to be done to make it more attractive is to just straighten his back up a bit, and sort out his legs, they come out infront of him like he's perched on something behind him. arms are a little screwed when holding the knife, again, easily sorted if you can animate.

The NS marine has armor, not sleeves...and it really wouldn't look so well when you have armor plated arms with your guns but when you're looking at a comrade they dont have any sleeves or anything. It wouldn't be right. Though this is a superb model, it has much to be desired.
notice that by 30 minutes in only 1 of those guys is alive? And then by the end of the movie none of them are? <!--emo&:p--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/tounge.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='tounge.gif' /><!--endemo-->
Are you guys seriously trying to get Brig to put the sleeves on? That's kinda delusional don't you think, seeing as how he doesn't care about the model anymore?

Thats awesome, what is it for? RE:escape or whatever its called?
Besides, I thought RE finally died? Or is this Brig's own mod thing?
On another note, mind if I release a firing sound that uses your shotguns pump brig for css?
