I dont wanna turn this thread into a flame war at all, and i know how freaking hard animating is ive had a go myself! But standard Animation for the MARINE does kill any custom model that is made for NS, the current anims fit the original marine model very well, but you try to put something different on the skeleton and bam it doesnt feel right.
If only i could find the time to learn how to anim propper!

There IS a high poly p+w pack at T2K. Maybe that should help a bit?

On a side note 4500 polys aint soooooooo bad now thats just at the limit! However about the animation stuff, A guy over at the Clan Dead Goat forums redone all the default CS player anims, very impressive stuff. I cant find the link for it but the thread should be around there!
im doign this now if anyone else is doing it tell me before i am too far into work to stop. Ill get a quick one out by tonight-tommaor night a good one by the weekend. -edit only way i can get his cone (i dont own 3dsmax 7 the uncompatiple demon to ms3d) is if some one assigns this to 1 joint compiles it as smds. I can do it then and it wont fuxed the textures.

I'll get to work on it tomorow, depending if I go to look at a car and goto town with my friend afterwards. My plans are usually ruined by something stupid (last time me and my friend were going to go job hunting, he backed up and ripped his muffler off. How he managed that one, I have no clue.)

fuzzy, you are going to assign it to the regular bone structure and have it use the original animations first, right? and then start reanimating it, right?

This would be sooooo much better for the CP's in HL2 cuz they look ***...or the elites cuz they look like futuristic micheal jacksons...or CSS CT's cuz the only good ones are Splinters Insurgents...I mean C"MON! NS is good and all...but this is just begging to get into HL2 ^.^

I would use this model without animations, as in moving around standing completely still in the "airplane man" position.
