The waves look somewhat "hairy" to me, but I haven't really tried waves before. If I find out a better way to make them, I'll probably go back in and fix it up. Backgrounds aren't my specialty, but I'm trying to get better at them, especially "space" environments, because I have a huge fasination with space.

    The waves do indeed look very hairy, as do the nebulae type things going on in the sky. Whilst the rest of the image is good, that stupid "rated leet" in the corner really detracts from the feel of it. Get rid.

    some suggestions: the whitecaps on the waves need to be a little thinner as you go outwards, and tapered instead of just ending in a rounded brush thing tool like you used. Shouldn't take too much more effort. Also, try adding in more and larger streaks of water to them as well to give it less blurry-ness and fit in more with the reflections you added with that brush.

    It's a neat-looking blend of styles, the cel-like shading of the character against the paint-ish background. Very nice. I like the breaking wave a lot. The clouds look good, although the ones near the horizon might be a little too tall vertically to look natural - like there's a huge cloud in the distance or a cloud that's really low in elevation, which doesn't fit in with the other clouds. Maybe shift them up a little or shrink them vertically?

    *edit* also, for the area around the underwater light, the wavy nature of the surface doesn't really match with the fact that there's a wave crest there...looks more like it's flat.

    Lol, the other day my g/f and I were talking about makin nude snow angels, then going in and cuddling next to the fire... makin out... warmin each other up... lol. I just think that sounds bloody COLD though!
