It was postponed when Cagey went to work with EA(?), but progress is still being made on it. Now that Cagey is back things should get moving a little faster if all goes well. ^^

Let me put it this way: though some forum posters have previously made jokes comparing Flayra to some sort of diety, I think of him as "The Man With the Plan."

Of course, this tells you absolutely nothing new <img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/tounge.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='tounge.gif' /> If it makes you feel any better, I know very little more (or no more at all) than you do.

[edit]Just to make a minor correction for the original poster. The question isn't "What was the bus?" The question is <cue background music out of the Matrix movies> "What is the bus?"

You want to know what it is?

Ok, here it is. They are making a system so amazing, it will do the following things:

Enhance Alien and Marine gameplay alike.
Keep players on the edge

So, the BUS (surprising nobody guessed, it's so fricken obvious) is a system which allows new aliens to be created ingame, with certain balance possibilities. Basically, there are 100 points. For example, every 10 health that you give this alien uses 2 points. The first attack will take 5 points, and take some other amount of points, based off of damage. There are 5 preset hitboxes and models, already - but you get to choose the attacks, health, speed (which uses 2 points for every 10 units/second) etc. It has been in testing for a long time now...and guess what?

I distinctly remember it NOT being a "feature"... yet it would somehow affect gameplay.
Maybe it keeps track of how good you are? That'd suck.

No - Flay said it was something new. Stat tracking has been done before in other games.
