Seriously, though, I always thought it was some kind of grossly overhyped new scoring system or something. Which would give you information on how that skulk killed you (headbite, leghump, etc..).
Idle speculation, of course. The BUS was a feature that was announced with no information as to what it was. But we're all so hyper about NS that we're desperate for it to be in the next release even though we've no idea what it is, what it does or even if it really exists.

If you're godlike compared to the rest of the players in your current game, it adds some randomness to your attacks. If you suck, it increases your accuracy.
Mucking with a players ability in-game in a multi-player game is entirely new, will certainly change the game, isn't a new feature, and will bring the community closer together... likely in a mob with flaming torches and pitchforks.. but hey, that's closer, aint it?
It's a ladder/stat tracking system. I recall flay saying that it would require some community involvement in one of the old old posts. So that leaves pretty much one thing a BNET like ladder system.
I think Drummer its right. Maybe it'll make you check the forum from teh game or something like that.
Which would rock! <!--emo&::marine::--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/marine.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='marine.gif' /><!--endemo-->

Instead of fighting independently or with a small clan-sized group, participants enlist in a massive force of Marines or Aliens composed of hundreds of players. Each player enlisted only fights on one side (alien or marine) called a "force" for the duration of the campaign, so the destiny of every player in that force rests not only on their own skill, but on the teamwork and commitment of their teammates. Individual battles take place over 12 hour marathon clashes, across multiple servers, during which hundreds of combatants enter the fray and struggle alongside their comrades for as long as they choose. When the battle is over and the smoke clears, the results from all the servers are compiled and the victors secure the region the battle represents.
The tournament incorporates a realistic command structure with Commanding Officers and Alien Leaders. By demonstrating your skill and ability to assist in a team effort, you raise yourself above your peers and become a candidate for being promoted to a leadership position: setting the stage for your climb into the ranks of the upper echelons.<!--QuoteEnd--></td></tr></table><div class='postcolor'><!--QuoteEEnd--> The website is down, so I think the idea may have died. The "bus" is just a propaganda tool in which its purpose is to keep the community satisfied with the notion that a significant, and needed, change to the game was coming while the team ignores the game play changes that need to be done. Or at least that’s what it has been…

The Devs dont want to give us a release date because other release dates were wrong in the past. Im fine with that. BUT: Why not tell us what the basic idea of teh <b>bus</b> is? Just the simple raw idea. So we can stop guessing around like idiots...
Anyone who could explain to me why they dont tell us? Is it because we could get mad if it doenst fit our expectations? Well i guess its allready to late for that. look at the Threads. Perhaps peoples expectations are allready way too high! (right?)
