So, What Mouse Do You Use?

And how effective is it?
Okay, so I did try and search, honest. But I could not get it to work, so please spare me burning at the stake if this is rehashing an old forum topic...
So, what mouse do you use? Considering it is a rather important piece of hardware, I want to see what you guys all use. Personally, I have been using a Logitech MX510 forever, but just today I got a Razer Diamondback. Hell, I should have gotten a better mouse sooner, the mx510 was just too clunky. Anyways I will spare you the details of the mouse and just give you a link to the site, for those of you who do not know of them. http://www.razerzone.com/diamondback.html
Personally, this mouse is just how I like them, its about standard sized with huge buttons, and a nice scroll wheel. Plus a few side buttons. So, whats it with you guys?

Older, now-probably-discontinued Logitech iFeel tactile feedback mouse for when I feel like having a little fun in games at the expense of fewer buttons. Use the appropriate software to tell it to "read" bass output from the soundcard and translate it to force feedback, and it just makes things more...interesting
I really want to get MonsieurEvil in for a quick game of NS just to see if his trademark chuckling would make the mouse shiver in fear
[edit]After seeing those Razer mice, I'm actually rather impressed at how they've lowered the price, at least compared to last time I checked. I must admit I was lucky in that respect; I got my MX510 used at a computer show for a "Does this guy know what he's selling?" low price able to be counted on two hands.
1000% pure pwnage. <-- Yes, that is a period. ^_^
and the salamander red cover is pretty damned cool

Whoa, so when there is loud base, your mouse shakes?
the diamondback also still reads faster than the mx1000 (6400fps to 6000 fps), and because it has a cord, it'll respond faster overall.
The one on the bottom is mine.
Only 5 buttons, but it still rocks.

I can set it to respond at different strengths to different frequencies, though doing so sometimes makes it react more to (example) background music instead of gun and explosion noises.
The smartest thing for me to do would be to use some program to find the average sound frequency the skulk bite is, then set that to the max on my mouse so if someone was trying to bite my ankles, I'd *know* they were trying to bite my ankles. But I'm too lazy for such things, so instead I use a default profile that ruins my aim as I spray & pray

[edit] It's disturbing that I have to fix the spelling of logitech when it is literally printed in silver letter visbly on my mouse right now.
It is shiny. o.o. And very good o.o.
I got the Bluetooth bundle, just so i could have the wireless keboard.
It doesn't like using some of the buttons though :/

Nice price, performs well, bit too small I think for my hands, but meh.
I believe this specific model is out of production, if you're interested, the MX510 is almost the same thing, but an upgrade if you will, and the red / blue color is nice too.

I find that getting the proper settings for your mouse is much more important than what mouse you use unless you have issues of some kind with your mouse.
USB is set to refresh at 125 Hz as a standard, but ps/2 can easily be set to 200 Hz polling rate(note: it is possible but hacky to set the USB refresh rate higher) and the improvement is that there is quite noticably smoother mouse movement in 3d. Instead of each frame sometimes encompassing 2 refreshes and sometimes 1, you get each frame encompassing 2 or 3 refreshes of the mouse which means that there is less variation in your rotation that it is due to the refresh rate of the mouse.
Secondly, never, EVER use mouse filtering in fast paced shooters where 'the twitch' is an important aiming technique, it will do some funky averaging over position in several frames and introduce lots of artificial mouse lag, especially true at low framerates.
Make sure your mouse to screen space transform is linear, mouse acceleration will make it so that if you move your mouse around on your pad and back to the starting position, the mouse pointer will generally not be where it started. This makes it very unintuitive to use, as you cannot just get a feel for how much you need to move that mouse to get a desired movement out of the mouse pointer because it's going to depend on how fast you move that mouse.
getting a diamondback this week its gonna be awesome

Wow I did not know this. I think I have mouse filtering enabled to - will ... change ... now.
