    i lol'd at that picture

    another idea is for a more fictional caliber.

    it can be .60 nanite rounds that can fit in the small straight mag.

    lol - yes... it uses *nanites* <!--emo&:D--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/biggrin-fix.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='biggrin-fix.gif' /><!--endemo-->

    Hows this? <!--emo&:D--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/biggrin-fix.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='biggrin-fix.gif' /><!--endemo-->

    I extended the front of the weapon, made the foregrip better, added padding to the back and most of all I added a Drum Mag!

    Now That can hold 125 rounds... and if it cant... we can always use my clip <!--emo&:p--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/tounge.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='tounge.gif' /><!--endemo-->

    Extended the front a bit, improved the forgrip, extended the grip back a bit as requested, fixed the railmount and added detail to the drum mag.

    Heya *waves* I don't play NS or anything, but I do know Sid (HIII) and I'm working on a 3D model of this concept, based off the last image he posted. I'll put up a pic once I've finished. It's got about 3 hours of work into it so far, and I'd say it's about... half done, give or take. Currently at 1200 polygons, with the most detail-heavy parts behind me. I can't texture or UVmap worth beans though, but Sid said he knows someone who can do that... I just thought I'd call dibs or something. <!--emo&:p--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/tounge.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='tounge.gif' /><!--endemo-->

    The model is finished, but I'm going to wait to show it to Sid before posting it - I'm surprised how much detail I was able to put in, with a grand total of only 2402 polygons. (He said I just had to keep it under 5000, so I think I did pretty good.)

    The next few posts are my progress on the weapon, and final render:

    Third WIP with some more detail, refinements, and the main pistol grip:

    Fourth WIP with the stock partially complete, only the reciever and magazine left to go:

    Final model, quick working render (same as before):

    Final render, with shadows and whatnot. I noticed a few things that can and should be fixed, but I just spent 8 hours on this, it's the first model I've finished in years, it came in at under half my 'budgeted' polies, and it looks damn cool, so... I'm leaving it for now, and going to get some sleep. <!--emo&:p--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/tounge.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='tounge.gif' /><!--endemo--> Any comments/criticisms/critiques/chocolatechipcookies are quite welcome! And Laser brought up a good point - notice how the Drum mag is sideways instead of... sticky-outty?

    Well, since this weapon is a Bullpup with a Drum Mag right behind the grip, you'd think that your wrist would bump it when holding the gun, eh? Not to mention that it would clip in NS - and feel very uncomfortable, too.

    So, Laser - being the genius that he is - turned the Magazine sideways. Now, not only does it flow with the overall design of the weapon - it also is more convenient and more comfortable - and functional, too. (It uses the same Technique the P90 does for turning the bullets to align with the barrel).

    Thanks again, Laser. <!--emo&:D--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/biggrin-fix.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='biggrin-fix.gif' /><!--endemo-->

    P.S. Anybody want to skin? <!--emo&:D--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/biggrin-fix.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='biggrin-fix.gif' /><!--endemo-->
