<div class="IPBDescription">HMG</div> Hello, all!

I was planning on drawing this concept with a Drum Magazine (because a futuristic HMG with a Drum Mag would be badass for NS), but as I progressed I found that that was... pretty much impossible.

So I gave it a M4A1 Pulse Rifle-esque kind of heavy magazine that holds a smaller, more compact form of .60 caliber ammunition. (Remember, this is the future so such bullets already exsist).

Hats off to those who know where the "Avro" name comes from. (I name all my concepts with that prefix).

About the gun:

Avro Industries

Avro Type 16 HCR (Heavy Combat Rifle)

.60 Caliber, 125 hollowpoint rounds

Magazine

It's a HMG replacement, with a heavy frame surrounding the gun to support it, and a built-in shock absorber in the Stock. (Notice the spring?)

It features an intergrated grip, with a "functional Foregrip" and precise ironsights.

About the drawing:

Well, the part with the spring in the stock is supposed to be empty, exept the spring, and the Ironsight is fixed on one end and loose on the other (It's on a hinge), so as the weapon fires it will bounce up and down slightly. (I know it's not very functional, but I think it would look neat if this weapon were to ever be animated).

As with all my conepts, you are free to post anything you like or even edit it to your own liking.

*Suggestions are Welcome*

Thanks for your time,
-Sid <!--emo&:D--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/biggrin-fix.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='biggrin-fix.gif' /><!--endemo-->

P.S. Do .60 Caliber bullets even exsist?
P.P.S. This weapon is not designed to look pretty. <!--emo&:p--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/tounge.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='tounge.gif' /><!--endemo-->

    horribly back-heavy... reminds me of those starving rwandan kids you see with bloated stomachs and skinny arms and legs.

    i don't like it.

    agree w/above looks like a pistol with a stock on it, add some bulk to the front, perhaps an underside GL or shotty attachment

    I kind of noticed how back heavy it was, heh - I'll see what I can do. Seeya soon!

    Could you try moving the grip/trigger assembly down a bit? I'm having a hard time seeing where you'd fit a fire selector on this bad boy. Looking good otherwise.

    Theres no room for the mechanics/safe in the trigger, other than that the second version is sexy.

    The few slight changes to the body were done by Mephmage

    Had to switch to a jpeg cause I couldnt fit a .png on, So some colours will look strange

    finally worked out what doesn't look right; bulk out the receiver a bit, its too skinny and insignificant. especially in comparison to the clip, stock, barrel, carrying handle etc. etc...

    Ahhh, it's good hear that Mempage is still kicking around - he's a great Concept Artist and did a VERY good job colouring this - please tell him I said thanks. <!--emo&:D--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/biggrin-fix.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='biggrin-fix.gif' /><!--endemo-->

    Thanks for all the suggestions - I just got back from a trip and I have a lot of unpacking to do and whatnot, but I shall try to incorperate them into the concept. Thanks again! <!--emo&:D--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/biggrin-fix.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='biggrin-fix.gif' /><!--endemo-->

    Alright, here we go.

    I bulked it up a bit
    I shorten the stock (ie. moved the grip back)

    I borrowed some of Hellspawn's ideas and added...
    A Lasersight
    Railmount

    Thanks so much for the suggestions, guys! - now what do you think? <!--emo&:D--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/biggrin-fix.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='biggrin-fix.gif' /><!--endemo-->

    Touched it up a bit.

    Added a Laser, added a but more detail to the Laserpointer and fixed the Shock in the back.

    (Forgot to add this last time)

    I added a Bullet Diagram. I Know it's small for a .60 Cal, but you got to remember - it's the future. <!--emo&;)--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/wink-fix.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='wink-fix.gif' /><!--endemo--> (NANITES!)

    The bullet says, ".60 AE" on it.

    And a big thanks to Mephmage for colouring my last concept - I didn't want to ruin or edit his by adding more features to my Gun.

    Suggestions and feedback would be welcome - and like all my concepts, feel free to add your own opinion to it by editing the picture itself! <!--emo&:D--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/biggrin-fix.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='biggrin-fix.gif' /><!--endemo-->

    Thanks again,

    Yeah, I saw that.

    What I was saying is that it would be hard to implement a drum mag on *my* concept, lol. <!--emo&:D--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/biggrin-fix.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='biggrin-fix.gif' /><!--endemo--> Not just normal HMGs in general.

    has a unique look to it especially the back stock area. overall its great

    the bullets seem a bit big to be able to squeeze 125 rounds in a straight mag.

    Bah - I still have no clue how to draw a decent Drum mag on this thing - so I just extended the magazine a bit.

    Now does it look like it could hold 125 rounds? <!--emo&:D--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/biggrin-fix.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='biggrin-fix.gif' /><!--endemo-->
