I haven't been watching them as intensely as I should, but I'm currently looking out for one I'm beta-testing, Eternal Silence 2(on first page). It'll be good, I promise XD
<a href='http://www.entropymod.com' target='_blank'>Entropy Mod</a>'s website is currently down, but it showed promise about a year before HL2 came out. They're kind of dying, have been ever since the huge amount of delays in HL2's release. If it had been released a bit earlier they'd be kicking pretty hard, but thought I'd list the mod.
<a href='http://ii.hl2files.com/' target='_blank'>Insects Infestation</a> - How can you have forgotten it? Insects fighting eachother, seems very promising!
I'm really surprised no one as of yet has mentioned <a href='http://dystopia-mod.com/' target='_blank'>Dystopia</a>. Especially as it is the only HL2 Modification with a dedicated HL2 server.
I'd have to say I'm looking forward to Eternal Silence, Project Hull Breach, the Secret of Mana mod, and <a href='http://habakuhei.slackersoftware.com/chitan/main.html' target='_blank'>Chitan : Hardboiled Killers</a>. The Concept art is pretty bad, but if there's even a SLIM chance it's somewhat like The Opera, The Specialists, or AHL, I'll look at it.
I don't know about that many of the Source mods (haven't been keeping a real close watch), but I do know I'm looking forward to Eternal Silence and, of course, NS:S.
I'll update the list later (only had time to add Dystopia, I have no idea how that slipped my mind). I'm going to order the Mods both in my hideously biased opinion and also depending on how much you guys say you love them, in this way a Mod that doesn't quite flip my switch but still has a big following will find itself high up on the list. Or maybe I should arrange the list by genre? Pfft I'll think about it.
Son of a... NeoShock is trying to be me, with its humans vs. robots vs. xenomorphs... Gah! This is probably the tenth time someone has come along and done something I had in mind... then again I suppose there's no details, but the main premise is the same, so therefore obviously it's ripping off me!
Are there any mods that are actually released (besides that Gunadm-Wing/MechWarrior one)?
Heh I don't have time to look through all the pages right now... Damn school <!--emo&:(--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/sad-fix.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='sad-fix.gif' /><!--endemo-->
I can't beleive no one's even looked at them yet <!--emo&:D--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/biggrin-fix.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='biggrin-fix.gif' /><!--endemo-->
I am looking openly foward to all of them as long as they are well dont ( ie dont crash and playable etc) and are release on target or in the next 6 -12 months!
Oh come on, no one said <a href='http://jurassicrage.halflife-mods.com' target='_blank'>Jurassic Rage</a>? It's been in PC gamer for most anticipated games twice. Poo to you lot.
The community is a little stagnent right now since production is really more or less internal and people don't have much in the way of media to look at.
P.S Basically the idea is the more the merrier - especially on the texturing front. We've already got a very good weapon skinner but we'll need some organic work obviously and world textures.
Actually there is at least one Source Mod media update every day on the Mod Database.
I've added "Dulce et Decorum" to the list in the first post, just take a look at their walking tank concepts...
Also added is "Boone's End", a survival horror Source Mod.
[Edit:] Yes I've known about Jurassic Rage for a while but it didn't really flip my switch. But since you want it plugging and it's clearly an active Mod going places I'll add it to the list.

Over-hyped, and will be a let down because they've had early coverage. I don't rate *it either as far as pre-release goes.

It's more fun than one can imagine.
But all the cool kids roleplay on HL2:DM, anyway.

The MP thrill is slowly losing its edge as time goes by and more and more MP Modes just seem the same ol' same ol'. This is why NS succeeds in MP.
