the really cool calendar thing is Rainlender. it can hook up with your outlook stuff as well.
I just did a search for Samurize, and I guess this is the latest thread. Who else uses it? Would you recommend litestep over it?
I got my Samurize getting TV listings for my area live, as well as weather forecasts. What else would I want to customize on it? Any suggestions from other Samurize users?
Does the Samurize thing load before Windows really loads, or does it like... show the windows desktop then jump to whatever Samurize has?
Same question w/ that desktop sidebar.
And I dunno about LiteStep... I don't really like the Gnome and KDE interfaces as much as I do the regular old Windows one... Plus, I'd be concerned w/ stability/performance issues...
doom that is the absolute freaking sexiest desktop i have ever freaking seen
OMG.
[edit]by utterly sexy i mean thats rediculous how someone did that with samurize... have u ever tried to make something inthat prog? <!--emo&:p--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html//emoticons/tounge.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='tounge.gif' /><!--endemo-->

This is my 1337 desktop theme: <a href='http://xs3.xs.to/pics/04475/Desktop16x12.PNG' target='_blank'><img src='http://xs3.xs.to/pics/04475/Desktop4x3.PNG' border='0' alt='user posted image' /></a>
You'll need a modified uxtheme.dll (I think that's it) to use it - just use google to find it. You can download the theme here: <a href='http://dragonkahn.deviantart.com' target='_blank'>http://dragonkahn.deviantart.com</a>

There's a lot of empty space on it too, as most of the things I don't need. Hell I got an RSS feed thingy in the middle just to take up the extra space...
Winamp control isn't as good as I'd hoped it would be.
And I coun't mount the Steam window into it, so that's no fun. :P
For the taskbar on the top and the toolbar along the bottom I am running a mod I made of the Litestep theme <a href='http://shell-shocked.org/article.php?id=23' target='_blank'>Azul</a>. For the object dock on the left I am using <a href='http://www.majorgeeks.com/download.php?det=2790' target='_blank'>Y'z Dock</a>. Fot the calendar, I'm using a module for <a href='http://kapsules.shellscape.org/' target='_blank'>Kapsules</a>. I'm also running <a href='http://www.tgtsoft.com/prod_sxp.php' target='_blank'>StyleXP</a> (which ROCKS) with the theme <a href='http://www.deviantart.com/view/11860673/' target='_blank'>Metal Milk</a>. For the toolbar on the browser I'm using <a href='http://www.winmatrix.com/forums/index.php?showtopic=1161' target='_blank'>Y'z Toolbar</a> with the <a href='http://www.customize.org/details/26975' target='_blank'>Orbital</a> theme.
If you want the LS theme I'm using just PM me. I didn't optimize it for all resolutions, so it isn't guaranteed to work.
Because they are ignorant. Macs have good designers and are good peices of hardware.
The biggest reason in the gaming community however is due to the lack of games. More and more game companies are releasing Mac versions of their games however and copanies like ATI make the same top of the line cards for Mac hardware as for their PC brethren.
At school, I use a dual G4 with a gig of RAM and a Radeon 9600XT. It kicks arse for what I use it for, which is editing video.
And, macs are just plain pretty, Aqua (OSX's visual stile) is so much more attractive than Luna (XP's craptastic default look)... *shudders*

Yes pretty dark, a desktop without al the splashy nonsense, IMHO ofcourse.
I've yet to decide whether I like it or not. :/

This is a screenshot that I took a long time ago when I first started messing with it. The tray icons look a little messed up in it.
