One per day...and this time, ROFLCOPTER
After reading a comment on my TSA USP thread from Saturday. I decided to convert this very well made M4A1 from CS, since it fits with the pistol really well. It's really heavy on poly. Oh yeah and as always, new animations.

NS Convert/Animation/Compile: [ZAPR]The Thing
MG-1: Bungie (from Halo 1)

I took no part in actually making the model or the texture, I just hacked it and animated it, then compile.

I thought this will go well with the pistol i recently released, so I converted this M4A1 and added some killer animations to it. (Maybe not that killer) But realistic in everyway.

Install: Extract to NS directory

very nice, but should the gun be c0cked or whatever when its reloaded?
  • The_ThingThe_Thing Join Date: 2003-02-25 Member: 13993Members
No, it is cocked when you push down the boltcatch. Go fire a real M4A1 you'll see what I mean.

Nice animations Thing. However of all your animations my own criticism is that the new mag coming into the gun always comes in really fast. Would use if it wasnt so poly heavy.

i thought on an m4a1 you cocked it by pulling back that thing on the back above the shoulder deal that gets pulled down in the draw animation.

You only need to do it one time. After that you can expand as much ammo as you want until you catch the bolt without a magazine. So a extending stock animation would be more realistic.

Slow down the dryfire, and make the fire animation jerk back and slowly move back to its starting position, and you have some great animations

fascinating, i didnt know that. so even if you fire the gun with an empty mag you wont have to do that unless theres just no magazine in the gun at all?

I was under the (note: never fired a gun) that the T-Charge handle on the M4 had to be pulled when the weapon was completely dry as its gas powered?

    anywho, i like that model!

All the games that have the guy pull the charger after reload are unrealistic.

Very nice, and as you pointed out, the cocking animatiouns would be incorrect. My idea for your next conversion title? The lmaotank made by me.
