<div class="IPBDescription">(Partially that is.)</div> For those of you who didn't notice it in your Steam 'Games' menu, the Source SDK has been partially released. The release contains mapping/modeling/texturing tools but no modding tools or documentation (yet).
Check it out <a href='http://www.steampowered.com/index.php?area=news&id=340' target='_blank'>here</a>.
Edit: On a side note, I've created some shinny new Source specifications for Batch Compiler. Run Batch Compiler's automatic update to get them.

The SDK of course.
So, we might see what NS:S could look like.... <!--emo&:D--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html//emoticons/biggrin-fix.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='biggrin-fix.gif' /><!--endemo-->
This needs to be fixed; it's probably my only real hate of the current Hammer.
enter the values (width, length, position, rotation, etc) and hit "Apply All" and click on the brush. It plasters the texture on it, but all the values in the texture box reset. Bye bye.
The SDK of course. <!--QuoteEnd--> </td></tr></table><div class='postcolor'> <!--QuoteEEnd-->
Ah ok, i thought about it but i was told that it was not possible to transfer SDK through another via than Steam. Hoax ? Well thx for your proposal anyway, i don't get cs:source at the moment so it will be useless for me <!--emo&???--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html//emoticons/confused-fix.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='confused-fix.gif' /><!--endemo-->

but it is an program based on a well working, debugged, optimized map editor. it would be understandable if there were any problems with the new features, assigning physics and surface properties to objects for example.
but problems with texturing? ok, then we start right back with worldcraft 2.0 where texture alignment was the hell cause of the missing "top, bottom, left, right, center"-buttons.
thats unforgiveable <!--emo&:p--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html//emoticons/tounge.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='tounge.gif' /><!--endemo-->
Me too, and thanks to Steam's nature all we have to do is send Valve an email asking them kindly to fix this texture issue and it'll be done.
