You can permanently buy skills from the guys in towns, for example, Sergio of the First Watch if you talk to him he can teach you skill. I think the rings and stuff are for learning skills of a different class. If you hold down alt you can see all the venders and things within range at a town. It's pretty handy.
The shields represent quests. The one on the left is the main quest, and the one on the right is any sidequest that you might not have gotten if its still transparent by the time the mission is over. For an example of this, while in the "just started" area, bring the Oink to Cheswick(villager to the left of the dude who lets you into Lions Arch). If you do it at the right point in time, you will complete the sidequest and gain absolutely nothing.
Remade my character from a Male E/N17 to a Female E/Me, I'm enjoying the switch.

Would everyone please take a screenshot of their maps and post it so we can all compare exploration. I also want to take all of our maps and hopefully photoshop them together to have the complete map of the guildwars world. Has anyone made it to those islands in the southwest??

Well I played it today and its not to bad. Did all the quests, explored a lot, lvl20 with full set of lvl 20 armor. And many battles after lvl 20 including guidl, gladitor and turney. I may buy it but I dont see it lasting more then 3 full weeks

Tbh this game is like awesome, for the fact that it has no monthly subscription fee this game beats most of the other MMORPGs.

Fam, did you not invite me or do I just not recognize when I've been invited? I had two characters, but I never used the first one on the list once I had my Elemental.
Even though this game looks like it kind of falls back in some areas [note: haven't played], I do hope it succeeds anyway, because this is a good idea. Providing it works financially as well. A lot of developers' eyes are on this; let's hope it works.
Yeah, I lost most of my excitement(notice how I didn't attack EEK when he said GW sucks in the WoW thread) during this event, but I'm still going to buy it since it <i>is</i> fun to play, and since you only pay once.
