Dashboard is only for jr. high girls. Trust me, you don't want to listen to that. Try the Weakerthans for a thoughtful man's depressing music. Or, you can go seriously old school and listen to the Cure. Don't worry, I won't tell anyone that you're crying and listening to the Cure.

Aesop Rock, Mr. Lif, and Aceyalone have some weird/depressing tracks if you're into hip-hop (especially Aceyalone, although they're mostly just weird).
Oh, and June by RJD2 featuring the lyrics of someone else.
EVERGREY! The best in this kind, you have to try it. I suggest try "Every tear that falls" first. Also Iced Earth has a lot of them, especially the Dark Saga album. Also another one: Divinity Destroyed.

I suppose it'd be easier to throw them out there if there's something you specifically want to mock the sadness of. Depends on your aim. Maybe you want a song with a sad story, or a song about losing a girl, or just a blatantly sad song...whatever...there's tons for tos of occasions.
How come no one has mentioned the classic "go get your napkins, it's time to cry" cd yet? The Cure's album Disintegration is one of the best ways to feel sad for the rest of the day.
The following individual tracks are also good for feeling bad:
Coil - At the Heart of it All (Simply a must. Go find this. Pronto.) Dead Can Dance - The Host of Seraphim (This one too.) Arcana - The Hymn of Absolute Deceit Nicole 12 - Ballerina (By ****, the combination of cinematic piano melody and sick "pervert daddy" lyrics gets me every time.) Nine Inch Nails - A Warm Place Nine Inch Nails - Something I Can Never Have Moby - Everything is Wrong Depeche Mode - In Your Room (The 6min. version, not the sucky 4min. single cut.) Deutsch Nepal - Tintomara/Thiudinassus Deutsch Nepal - How Low... Deutsch Nepal - Drugmother Einstürzende Neubauten - Sabrina Haus Arafna - Son of Cain IRM - The Celebration of the Untouched Skin Klangstabil - Vertraut The Tear Garden - The Center Bullet The Tear Garden - Circles in the Sand Johann Sebastian Bach - Air Ohgr - iOvNoW Navicon Torture Technologies - Personal Apocalypse I Navicon Torture Technologies - Personal Apocalypse II Navicon Torture Technologies - Personal Apocalypse III (Listen in a series for a thoroughly unpleasant evening. Even though released on different albums, they progress nicely from the sounds of an impending breakup to absolute indifference.)

I just mentioned a few artists I that I know have some depressing tracks. I prefer more upbeat music, like A Tribe Called Quest, De La Soul, J5 and The Roots.
Comments
Mimi - Unclean Toilet Conditions
Nexus - Digital Cancer.
I personally think they're the worst bands on the planet, but if emo is your bag, hit it.
>_>
Nirvana does the job for me..
Luke Smith - I Will Survive (Counterstrike)
Peaches - Rosa Helikopter

Isn't this just a tad hypocritical?
In all honesty, there;s some good country songs that are depressing, Whiskey Lullaby being one.
A perfect circle is even more depressing.
