they connect 2 "round" objects to each other or are split to match one dina4 side.

well i tried to do this, too small to work with. it is about half diameter in width of the ip, and it is about 3-5 inches high. so i think you should probably "re-do" this.... and when ever i print this out, the grey is pink 0_o

yeah i left those bits out because when i put them into the program, it netted them out but it would be very awkward to put those bits onto the paper model as well, those parts arent even connected to the model, its just stuck through the side of it. heh I got it .. but I got same problem with CC..
I found simple solution .. open model in 3DStudio and there use
1. compound object - boolean (for removing inserted parst)
2. or slice tool for planar cut of object

then u can export objects withouth intersection !
