But thats just me n i get turned around easy.

I think youv made it too good, no1 seams to be posting much other than this is great, keep it up, lovin it.

Its nice and easy to run around.. no problems climbing in vents. Only problem i can see if if it was run on a large server. But 32 man has problems on vertualy any map anyway so..

wow! This is fantastic looking. However, the layout looks a little un-adventurous. I agree that you should make the map more vertical, and create corridors that look more different from each other.

I think using an env_sound (I think that's it's name) to add major echoes to this place would work really well. If you really wanted to push the boat out, you could create (*or get someone else to create for you) some cool new ambient loops that suit the level.

I'm looking forward to playing this level.

Very nice indeed!
But, the name Umbra, isnt that better if you create a new name of the map instead?

Thanks I have been considering changing the layout, but before I do that I want to see how it plays in its current form. My original intention was to create a very basic layout, similar to that of co_faceoff or co_core, and capture that fast gameplay you only seem to get on the smaller maps. At the moment I am working on the side corridors, they are ugly and I dont like them (mainly the top left corridors) - I might get rid of them altogether and have a room there instead.

I was originally going to call it "shadow" (Im not very creative) but the Thesaurus saved me from that, and gave me "umbra". It might be confusing, but I dont think im going to change it - I made some custom textures that would need editing if I changed the name too

I think penumbra also means the same thing in other languages, (dont ask me which ones)

Also search Latin or Greek´s translation for shadow, they can come up with some original and cool sounding words sometimes...
