<div class="IPBDescription">Yet another combat map</div> I have been posting screenshots of this on the screenshots thread, now that it is nearing completion I thought it would be a better idea to have my own thread. Some of these shots have been posted before, others have been updated and some are completely new.

Currently I am working on lowering the r_speeds, and adding the vent system.

Funny, my first impression was that it was prettty big. Now that I've looked the lay-out more closely I think it's just fine. I like your architecture too. But isn't that hallway near hive a little too long and open? A couple of others things to note are that the architechture is very original and well designed <!--emo&:)--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html//emoticons/smile-fix.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='smile-fix.gif' /><!--endemo--> Although I can't help but feel that you need a bit more colour, its just all blue and grey for me, try and work on spicing it up a bit more. Maybe a bit more of an infestation feel with those transparent hanging textures and infestation "rocks" to make the hive feel gloomy and alien like. I'm really looking forward to playing this map, like it from the screenshots so far.

I have finished work on the vent system. Its pretty big, but it should help the aliens (and maybe jetpack marines) immensely. Here is the updated overview.

Vents are highlighted green, that isnt some funky green and red lighting <!--emo&;)--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html//emoticons/wink-fix.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='wink-fix.gif' /><!--endemo-->
A few of you commented on it being flat. The map has three levels, aliens are on the topmost level while marines are on the lowest level. These are marked on the overview. Sadly there is no level over level, it would be difficult to add some at this late stage in development. If it plays badly though, I will look at redesigning it so there is some level over level combat.
/edit: r_speeds peak at @ 980. A bit high, but I'll see how it goes. Rebirth has high r_speeds too, and that's just fine.
I'll have a downloadable version soon... I just need to fix these wretched doors....
N.B. Re: a previous comment, the chairs are not floating (unless they are new models), if you take a look at ns_origin you'll notice that the chair models connect to the surface in front of them... I know this becuase they're featuring in the MU/TH/ER interface area in my current project.

I especially like the way you have the infestation in the hive, How its holding most of the damaged wall together. Vents look good as well, nicely spaced. This is going straight on my clans new server <!--emo&:D--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html//emoticons/biggrin-fix.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='biggrin-fix.gif' /><!--endemo--> along with you others co_prime and ns_tharsis.

Hmm... blue stripes. It reminds me in Time Splitters 2.
Particularly in first picture on first page. Don't use stripes too much.

Blue and green light fit perfectly on your archietecture.
I think Central area bring in game play more exciting.
