    Can you make the little armor plate on the hand more shaped like the original?

    and the top armor plate... honestly that was just a place-holder model for the armor, BUT if I get lazy, which I will, I may just modify and fix it up to look more like the default I guess, I have already made some changes to it to make it look more "fitting" to the arm plate, and I changed a bit of the arm guard as well, and lengthened it a bit, as well as moving the straps around a bit to look more correct...

    this will NOT be identical to the default I'm afraid, the straps, in my opinion, look much more functional and secure the way I have them set up, but on the default they are wider and much closer to the middle, like a halloween costume of sorts, and the armor plating WILL be slightly different, mainly to avoid awkward clipping like the default hands are so prone to having...

    and I'm glad you like them SO FAR, hopefully that opinion won't change any as it progresses... I'm really really procrastinating working on those fingers though <!--emo&:(--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html//emoticons/sad-fix.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='sad-fix.gif' /><!--endemo-->

    well, that suggestion about nails and loose skin was for fun. maybe some moron would do them but normal ppl wont.
    but the spicying up the armor was a real suggestion.

    you now, make it a litle more than just a plate. jea jeah, skinnar makes it skinnar makes it.
    well, there are some things skinnars cant do on models.
    and i dont mean holes and bumps.

    and if i know correctly, hi poly weaponry is made with lots of detail, such detail which are usually made with skin.
    so why not hands too.

    well... technically... I'm not sure if there is or not... usually when I'm confronted with something I can't do, I learn it, and never mention it in that duration of learning... I've only been modelling for about 3 and half months though, I'm actually a programmer, so most of the modelling stuff I do is for kicks and what not... but do me a favor and don't ask me where to find tutorials, honestly I never look for em, I just kinda play it by ear until I've learned enough to accomplish my goal... anyway, I'll have some free time later to work on the new hand/arm model, but again, I'm really not looking forward to doing those fingers <!--emo&:(--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html//emoticons/sad-fix.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='sad-fix.gif' /><!--endemo--> not that they are that hard to MODEL, but just having to put in the extra verts in weird places so that it bends correctly when assigned... meh...

    Would it increase the PC too much if you modeled the little ridges where his gloves end and his fingers start? Hostile Intent did that and it looks really cool, much better than just having a skin of the gloves.

    I love your work Redd, its the best I've seen sinec Darkkiz a loooong time ago in the 1.04 days, and it actually FITS!(thats what I love: Guns that fit NS. Especially when they ARE the NS guns! weee)

    Though, will original anims also be included with this one? Not saying I don't like yours ice, but I just want as little a departure as possible(I love the anims that they have currently for ALL the weapons).

    Well, yeah, I mean if you really want the less detailed no-bullet default animations and if you're happy with the default hands instead of the new ones I'm working on, I'm sure it wouldn't be too much trouble to just make a convert out of it to default animations... wouldn't really take more than 5 minutes...     back on the hand I was working on...
    I was considering modelling the glove on the fingers, but ya know, the hand looks so natural currently... I dunno if really wanna waste that many polies... keeping with the 12 sided poly cylindrical fingers, a complete finger was about 108 polies with the glove cut off modelled on... that would mean the total PC for TWO arms and hands would be > 1000 ... that's alot when you don't even have a gun in hand yet... so of coarse I'm gonna drop the number of sides on the fingers, and possibly just drop the idea of modelling the glove part, to save on some additional polies, it would save about 2 * number of sides on fingers, and then a few more because of the division... meaning even if it were an octagonal finger it would be saving at least 16 polies, plus the additional 16 for the division PER FINGER, so thats about 32 * 4, which comes out to save about 128 polies... and that's OCTAGONAL fingers... <!--emo&???--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html//emoticons/confused-fix.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='confused-fix.gif' /><!--endemo-->

    no offers yet, and that "bend" in the arm is called a muscle... some people have them... you should check back a few pages to see one without armor, it just looks odd in that pic, anyway, I've gone through and actually assigned it to my custom animator hand structure <!--emo&:0--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html//emoticons/wow.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='wow.gif' /><!--endemo--> "WTH did you say?!"
