I would agree not my best work, but at the same time I noticed this looked better in the origins view, I tried a couple of methods, and this was the least obstructive but at the same time most appealing method, although not as realistic as it could have been.... hmmm... "nanites" ...?

When the texture is completed I may personally see to the compilation of this pistol, since I'm the only one with the animations and scaling information right now... well Bashh has 'em too I guess, but not in source form... anyway, I could probably do most of the little touch ups after the skin is done, like adding in some faces and fixing some faces, like on the top of the magazine, etc etc...
BUT I don't think I'll have the time to sit down and sync up the sounds in the .qc file, so some one else may have to do that...
@Delarosa: good, laughing is healthy, as is shooting skulk with pistol

Wow, I cant wait for the release of any of this stuff, it's killing me knowing that such sexy stuff is unreleased.
Now, sorry for this rude off topic, but it just bit me in the patootie and I had to ask. Where can I get myself an arm modeling Tutorial? I need to make some good armor-afied arms.

in case you are wondering a "concentration" is a large collection (20 pieces) of an artist best work, that is submitted at the end of a term majoring in Visual Arts (four years) and I really put alot of focus on the works on DaVinci, relating science, math, and art, which is one of the reasons I take so much offence to that last comment about my forearms, because I actually had to work out for a long time developing defined muscle tone in my arms to use them as references for most of my pieces... Ok, I guess I should kinda reenstate my beliefs...
Higher poly != better looking
the RSX shotgun is proof this, the model and weapon design really wasn't that great, but NumbRider's skin completely changed my opinions on it... a texture can do just as much as wasting the 10 polies to model a hole in something that you may NEVER see anyway...
with that said, I will never waste polies on any of the projects I work on, stupid things like making skin look "loose" is something that is left to the texture, and finger nails... that's something that not only hardly gets noticed, but I haven't made the fingers yet! sigh... that one finger I mentioned was terrible and I will be redoing them, and even when I do, wasting additional polies on something like that seems pretty pointless... a good texture can always outshine a detailed model...
ok rants out of the way, the model is currently at 394, without armor, and without optimisation, WITH armor and without optimisation (and of coarse neither of these have finished fingers) the PC is about 502: keep in mind that the PC will increase a good bit with the fingers, due to the joint configuration, but it will drop back down some too when it gets optimised, such as the fact that WITH armor on, alot of the detail on the back of the arm and hand can go bye bye personally I'm pleased with the PC so far...
