Poison Spores Stack?

TheGlowTheGlow Members Join Date: 2002-11-22 Member: 9650Posts: 325
Do they stack? Or as long as theres at least 1, marines take a set damage.
I was in a co map and all us aliens went lerk and spammed the MS with gas.
I would figure they should have been dropping fast, but I dont think I saw a single poison death

    No, they don't stack.

It would be hideously overpowered if it did.

Two clouds from the same lerk do not stack.

Two seperate clouds from two seperate lerks do stack.

    So, spread the gas out!

edit: if you were in CO, there's a good chance that the marines had resupply, which makes it very unlikely that gas will kill them. Strip the armor, yes, but not kill. Even without, it takes a while to kill a marine with gas only, and longer per armor upgrade.

Wait, did you say separate spore clouds from separate lerks stack damage?

I don't think so. Many a time I've been conducting hive sieges and there's been more than one lerk sporing away at my marines, and they don't drop that fast.

That would simply be because spores just don't kill that quickly.

Spores from seperate Lerks do stack. You shouldn't rely on them to actually kill anyone any more than you otherwise would, though.

I'd like to know how massively increasing your lifespan is "garbage."

    Umbra doesn't stack, btw.

It takes a good 20 seconds of a marine just standing there, getting gassed for him to die. Two lerks cuts that down to 10, and at that points it's still better to just to have skulks bite them to death once their armor is gone (and if you want to be a particularly useful lerk, drop some umbra/primal to help them out).

Two gasses from different lerks stack, etc etc.

Er. Primal scream makes any friendlies in range: Increase movement speed, ROF, and attack damage (except parasite and xenocide, which are fixed for B5).

primal scream has always been the most underrated alien ability.

Should be fixed now. Xenocide and Parasite now do extra damage if the player is in primal scream range.

Xenocide is gonna be scary :O

    Holy... Xenocide... *drools*

Ok, Yeah spores that comes from different lerks do stack, those comming from the same lerk don't.
    Honor
A warrior without honor is a bandit. A warriors honor is his most valued possesion. Allow a defeated enemy to retain his honor and he may become an ally. Remove his honor and have an enemy for eternity!

Spore clouds from different Lerks did not stack back in 2.01, when I tested it. This may have changed, though.
some obscure NS gameplay data (added back to signature since people still ask for it from time to time)

Are you sure about that? I'm fairly sure they did. Anyway, they were supposed to, whether they did or not...

But yes, they definitely stack now.

Primal Scream is always overlooked, its so handy when your team are romping through a base - in such situations you do a quick Scream then send in some umbra.

A primal scream adrenaline lerk can kill mass health structures faster than a celerity onos can.

All I know is i last used umbra in 1.04, so im used to it making a big change flying solo in, umbra, bitebite, fly out
    Now it just seems funky.
But I made some friends in an NS game yesterday. buncha fades were rocketing the hell outta the MS, and my primal scream made it all the sexier.

and you are stupid. umbra is a GREAT skill, especially if marines still have lmg's. and its like invaluable when onos is charging a base, he can stay in there much longer.

Also increases energy regen rate (Not really noticable because of how primal scream last such a sort time). For primal scream it increases movment speed? (Saw it's bug data base wonder if it's fixed but I never notice increase in movment speed)
