Ok heres the assault rifle animations. Your going to have to do the sounds and the other stuff. Im just the animator :o
I got the screen texture back on (not sure what happened to it) and I'll try to smooth the animations slightly, and fix the idle animation (the 5 and 0 are different sizes for some reason). I love the reload anim especially
Neone remember the Halo AR tat was converted from FA? those animations seem like the best halo mimiced animtions i've seen.I still use the model so woudl it be possible to convert the animtions from tat AR to this one?
Yea not much i could do about the choppy because its milkshape, not max

Now its just waiting for the Halo AR with working ammo counter animations and perhaps a HMG model and if possible a HA model.

I have a slightly-fixed version of the LA, but max did something to the smoothing... It destroyed the smoothing, and now NOTHING will smooth, no matter what SG its in. I'll load it up in milkshape and try to fix it, then upload it. All I did to the anims was delete the last 3 frames of the idle one, since they simply involved the gun just sitting there, not moving (and hence the uber-choppiness).
I always add 5+ frames to the end of my animations to keep them from getting "cut off" which is a extremly annoying bug. Ive had countless animations messed up by that bug when i first started animating :/
Well I de-borked the smoothing, and here's the updated LA v model: v_mg.zip
holy shants batman! my whatever-you'd-call-that is floating! please debork more. I did notice this in origin mode, but you can actually see it hanging here in space better. cocking lever i guess is the best word for it
Yoikes... I hadn't noticed that. Well, it looks like I might have to learn to animate
i caught it outta the corner of my eye and i was like double you tee eff is that, and stopped the animation to realize OHHH CRRRAP that thing was flying all over the place. gl fixing
The AR is coming along nicely. I did notice the bolt flying around oddly out of the corner of my eye in origin mode, hope someone can slap that back down in place. Hopefully Fuzzy will get to smooth out the anims a bit after he goes slaying some Cacodemons in Doom 3...
And just an idle thought, to whoever did setup the AR screens, I know someone said they were gonna do it like BlackPanther's M4A1 Pulsey. It would be REALLY cool if you could really do that for this AR, so you can have a screen for firing, reloading, idle, etc.

they look(ed) fine to me, only complaint i would have if i were going to use this is that the reload isnt exactly like the halo one. I'd rather something more similar to it than this. However i dont intend on using it, and they are very nice animations. good job
Well, i couldent get the clip and the bolt on the same parent bone with the hand, so i just put that above it since it would be too far to notice. I can fix it so its not noticable in the origins (good thing i saved the ms3d file ) But, i'll fix it once I get around to it (since that wasent released to be used ingame anyways :o)

Smoothed the animations a wee bit and fixed the bolt from poping back down into the screen.
And i ment either the clip is going to bounce around, or the bolt is, cause one of them is going to have to be attached to the others parent bone so they move right with the hand.

dont even start, you can get fluent animations in milkshape.
