<div class="IPBDescription">meh, my first try</div> It's not much, but it reduces the res/energy bars and the hive info.
Enjoy.
Enjoy.

I think a color gradient would look nice on the Resource bar, and the Energy bar.
I might grab a copy and consider playing around with it <!--emo&:)--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html//emoticons/smile.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='smile.gif' /><!--endemo-->

No, they simply replace the hive icons that fill up over time.
<b>Edit: RES BAR RES BAR RES BAR</b>
For starters, you might want to touch-up the empty portion of the Resource bar. There's a small orange patch peeking out the top.
really nice HUDnot too 'fancy' just simple and clean =)
Removing the resources would just require making a blank sprite, not too hard. I was more just fishing for ideas and approval from the man who made the minimal hud to continue.
Slapping on a cropped texture to give the bars less of a bodgy look works well when you see it sliding up and down <!--emo&;)--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html//emoticons/wink.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='wink.gif' /><!--endemo-->
For now I'll play around and maybe make it a little more alien-ish. But if I get time before work I'll slap the gradient thing that was asked for.
Edit: And yeah, I used sv_cheats so the screenshot was less boring <!--emo&;)--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html//emoticons/wink.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='wink.gif' /><!--endemo-->

The optimal solution would require you to edit all eight frames from scratch (don't use the ones in the .zip), combine them into one large image, and generate a palette from the combined image. Save the new palette, discard the combined image, and apply the palette onto the eight frames. Then, follow the steps as above.
This method will ensure that the eight frames will retain most (if not all) of the original colors, thus reducing solid color patches.
Credits got to MarineAnimal for the idea.

The Bars, when not full, are transperent. By the way, CA is my clan <!--emo&:D--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html//emoticons/biggrin-fix.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='biggrin-fix.gif' /><!--endemo-->

What I'd ask:
1. Make the yellow bars as small as possible, maybe even make them as small squares or circles. Same with the chambers, make them as small as possible.
2. Make all the text smaller, if possible.
3. Make the energy bar smaller, if possible.
So in essence, everything much smaller. Then I'd definitely use it if I were still playing.

Heres the Zip File: <a href='http://home.bigblue.net.au/blanck/HiveInfo.zip' target='_blank'>HiveInfo</a>
Whats the point, You mentioned that you're not playing anymore, why would he go to the trouble of customising it smaller, if theres no one to use it? And I reckon it looks better larger
