Strafing to both sides in a single jump does not provide the insane speed boost that you might think it does; it just reduces the amout of speed wasted moving in directions other than the intended one. It also makes it easier to bunnyhop in more cramped spaces.

Max air speed is 3 times the classes's run speed, NS will not allow you to go faster under any circumstance. When you jump your speed is reset to 1.7 times your classes's run speed, this puts an effective limit on bunnyhopping to around 1.7 times your running speed, running speed increases with celerity and so does the limits. In a single glide jump you reach ~1.5 times run speed if you time it just right. (when you reach ~1.7 you just need to compensate for speed lost, you don't need to turn like a maniac, a straight line will be the shorter path.)

Well for the strafing to both sides in a single jump part check out a demo of pain`user bhoping cause that is how he does it.
Bhopping uphill is possible, but kinda hard, in stairs its possible in a couple.
One bad part about bhop is that sometimes, something in the way(or a bug), makes me jump strait in the air and look stupid, I hope they fix that.
To glide forward: While running forward, start strafing in a direction and at the same time turn in that direction (turn gradually, as you would when bunnyhopping). This will increase your speed. Then jump to avoid losing that speed to friction.
