Be nice about "clan stacking"....chill out..the only reason you even care is because you KNOW they are associated by the tag itself...if people are smurfing then it wouldn't even be an issue. it makes no sense that you would not allow to friends to play on the same team just because the have the same 3 letters in front of their name...i'm sure all of you admins have your friends in the server and never hesitate to play on their team...i don't really see what the problem is with decent players wanting to have competent teammates working with them

It frustrates the wizz out of newcomers and average skill level pubbers when the other team is guaranteed to have fantastic co-ordination. If clans want to stack their teams that way then they should scrim or play matches and PUGs. But, of course, I can't control how admins conduct their servers, so that's why I posted my desired rules.
I dont have a problem with clanstacking, I do however have a problem with people using a private communication program like ventrilo and excluding the rest of their team, you can seriously expect more than 4 people to be able to stack on one team?
why do people not like spawn camping?

Because it's no fun to sit in que, then spawn, then be killed and sit in que again.
True Combat spawn-camping the other team isn't even attacking the objective, they are simply waiting for people to spawn and destroying them to boost their numbers.
I am a fan of spawn camping as long as the objective is attacked by everyone except for the spawn camper. Because at least the round is over and can start again.
Spawn camping is a viable useful strat in NS:Classic games, and I see no issue with it there except for the boredom it creates on the other team. But it is certainly a viable strategy.

please do not turn this thread into a flame war, what I meant was that I was hoping for people to front fully argued reasons *behind* the rules, so that REAL sensible rules can be developed. For example, when I used to admin on thehaven I wrote a 4-5 page argument as to why people not communicating is a bannable offense (full circumstances listen through reasoning), where you can finally turn harsh rules into cold undeniable factors of a game as the reasoning totally lacks any emotion or ignorance
Making rules is weird. On the one hand, I just want to have one rule pop up, like so:
The Rule: Do Not Be A Dik.
But what ends up happening is that I warn people and they ARGUE about it, and mysteriously they tend to argue less if there's a specific rule for whatever they've done. So the above ur-rule is number 1, followed by the de rigeur ones about racism etc. I also have a pet peeve about people making haxcussations (without even spectating! argh, it kills me), so I tell people not to do that or get kicked.
That's it, mostly.
Further edit for the reasoning behind it.
Almost everything that intentionally ruins a game of NS comes from people being ****. They **** when they lose and gloat when they win. They argue about games ending too slowly or too fast, things being cheap and comms being dumb. Nothing gets in the way of my enjoying pubbing more than having to make people SHUT UP AND PLAY.
....what are you talking about. I'm sorry I can't be bothered with puerile "Don't do this because I think it's cheap" rules and I'm sorry if I think it's a waste of time to enumerate each specific way people can be unpleasant and then tell them not to. In case you haven't noticed, people can find nearly infinite ways to be unpleasant, and one of their favorites, in my experience, is to argue that they're really actually being awesome when I tell them to stop being unpleasant.
attitude is a factor, reasoning and defining a factor isnt easy
Kavasa makes a great point (despite his obvious filter dodge there ). The decidedly biggest portion of annoying behaviours displayed on servers can be brought down to people either purposefully or unconciously taking no note of the rest of the servers population. Problem is that such people tend not to take a ban or kick as a hint, but as an insult, and will thus start arguing about it, thus only re-affirming basic rule #1.

Thats about it. I despise pubbing.
