Halo isnt as great has most of the hype says. It is however a solid shooter which doesn't take many risks in pushing the gene forward. Oh yeah, I love Metal Slug 5 for the xbox, but it's one of the hardest games ive played in a while.
Ninja Gaiden rocks...eventually I'll have to get around to buying it (too bad the games that sell well don't become platinum hits for a long time...pffft).
Lots of people like DoA 3...I dislike bascially all fighting games (Soul Calibur being the sole exception)...Haven't tried 2...but I hear Sophitia (and possibly Lizardman) are in there, so maybe I'll rent it one of these days).
Lots of people also like Mech Assault....I don't. I also don't have XBox live...but, pfft anyway.
People either love or hate JSRF...I hate it...and all it's wanna be cool, cel shading.
Halo rules with its co-op (I think there's a co-op patch for the PC version now...but it doesn't compare with sitting next to a friend killing stuff). No really exclusive anymore...but if you want recent FPSs you'd probably want to go with Chronicles of Riddick - the OXM demo is awesome...not sure if it's going to be on PC or not.
Not out, but you only have to wait 4 months or so: Fable looks nice, and has an excellent premise. If it garnishes half the hype that's associated with it - it will rock.
Sudeki...lots of people think it will rock. It seems to be compared to KotOR a lot...I don't see much special aside that it's an additional RPG on the Xbox.
Halo 2 will probably be exceptionally fun to play. I'll almost definately buy it (and you can preorder the cool CE with the tin box and stuff)...but I feel it's overhyped to mental extinction, and I'll wait until it's closer to release before I care about it.
DOA Ultimate - Xbox Live DOA...I despise fighting games...but I'm sure someone will like it (includes a remake of the original Sega Saturn DOA version).
That's all I'm really aware of that are still exclusive (or have reasons that they don't relate to the PC version (...Halo). I don't physically own any of them aside from Halo (although I do have tons of games that were formerly PS2 games - with better graphics).
[edit:] ...Err...yea... Ninja Gaiden...that'd be the best. High quality action game with excellent story, controls and graphics (maybe not quite in that order <!--emo&:D--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html//emoticons/biggrin.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='biggrin.gif' /><!--endemo--> ). Paird with the fact you get NG 1, 2 and 3 from NES and it's just plain fun (and fairly hard)...it's practically a must own....if I weren't poor.
Just so you all know, I'm still periodically lurking on this topic, and you guys have been a fair bit of help. Acctually I won't be buying anything, because my particular Xbox belongs to a friend, so I was mostly thinking good rentable games (although recomendations are not unwelcome, you can never know TOO much). BTW, halo is already accounted for, and I agree is an awesome game, so just so we don't waste tonnes more time arguing about it. I'm not really considering PC games competion for Xbox exculsivity since I don't really rent PC games, but if it's a game for PS2 or Gamecube chances are I'm not interested because I have already played it, even if Xbox does it better.
Thanks for the help <!--emo&:D--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html//emoticons/biggrin.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='biggrin.gif' /><!--endemo-->
