Crash When Quiting

<div class="IPBDescription">also out of game slowdown</div> not all the time (maybe 1 out of 3), when i try to close ns down (after playing) it locks up. sometimes i get away with Alt + Tab and i can close it down externally (through Task manager) even when this happens my computer will run really really slowly (until i reset it). othertimes using Alt +Tab or any other windows shortcuts wont work and i need to do a 'hard' reset.
I have tried the "stopsound;quit" command (does not make a difference), and i tried disabling the music (music not sound). i have also reinstalled NS - again no difference. This happens on no other mod or game.

Thx in advance - for any suggestions that you guys offer.

i have:-
3.2 Ghz P4
Radeon 9800 Pro 128mb
1Gb Corsair Ram DDR400
sound blaster Audigy 2 ZS
Logitech keyboard + mouse

- Note: i do also find that the extra mouse buttons that my mouse has are not always recognised in NS - i have bound "show map" to Mouse4 - this sometimes work othertimes it does not - This is likely unrelated (im not too bothered about getting it fixed)

    try "exit" or using the exit button in steam

    just tried it ...nope still happens - i find it really wierd that it runs totally fine while playing the game. when quitting the game it just seems to be chance on wether or not it will crash.
    Note: i can always see my mouse cursor when it does crash and i can move the mouse around the screen. still i always need to reset it.

    I had this problem too once.
    Was it version 3.0beta 1 and 2 and 3...
    But when this latest update came I didnt had it anymore.
    I tried too many different ways to shut it down but it always just stayd there.
    Have u tried to re install steam? Thats one thing that I didnt try

    ive tried quitting various ways, but i havent reinstalled steam (ive reinstalled NS alone tho.).

    you got the latest updates?? It doesnt matter (i think) if you install the one that (even) already exists on your pc. Try that.

    it seems to run fine right up to when i close NS - what exactly happens when the quit command is executed???
