I don't know how many hours I have spent on Altair these last two weeks but here is another release which should be much more balanced and ready for PTing. I would really appreciate it if any clans could PT or if some server admins could put this into rotation and get some good constructive feedback on this build.

This build should have much better lighting (less dark areas) and several areas have been reworked to fix problems with LOS and sieging distances and other gameplay balance.

Edit: Some older screens from a few compiles back just to refresh you on which map this is.

Edit2: Removed the old screens since they were pretty out of date.

    I'll download it when I get back from school and I'll ask my clan leader if he could maybe put it onto rotation on our server. Looking good btw, but I think the screenshots make it look darker than it actually is, right?

    inf in 3pic can be bit broken upp by vertex
    the pipes in second pic can be rotated 90degres
    the water in 6pic can be scaled up and rotated to make it less ovius you got the same water texur copying itself, apart from thath, its loking good

    What I can tell from those screenshots is that that lighting still really needs work and that last pic why is there bands of frost on the glass? Stretch that texture so it puts the frost only on the edges.

    Those screens are from about 2 or 3 builds ago but I posted them just to refresh peoples minds on what map this is. I can't easily take screen shots to post on the forums right now because I don't have photoshop on this computer and my computer's resolution is 1680x1050 which makes each screen about 300K. Many of the things you are pointing out in those screens are fixed, like Consistency Monitoring Monitoring <!--emo&:p--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html//emoticons/tounge.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='tounge.gif' /><!--endemo-->.

    it's dark, u need a flashlight for most of the map it looks really nice though just tweak a couple things like lower the life support hive and take the enclosure out so merines can shoot it from far away and a gorge can drop DCs on top of it. didn't get a good chance to look at all of it before the server crashed

    haven't really checked out all the hives yet but i'd maybe put a vent in life support that goes out to the node on the merine side of the hive i forgot what the res node was called, the ledge side of the hive i'll look at the other hives later

    but i still say make the ground in the hives less flat using vertex

    I will but right now I'm trying to fix everything that affects ballance/gameplay. I'll work on visuals when I get that done.
