Patch Beta 4a

<div class="IPBDescription">WTH</div> Ok, I downloaded the NS 3 beta 4a patch. And I was able to join GUns4Back2School's beta 4a server. But when I try to join other servers with the beta 4a patch, i get errors such as ns_ maps being different from the servers or even the "your cl_dlls" is different from the servers.
i even tried uninstalling ns3 and reinstalling ns3beta 1 and the beta 4a.

anybody know the solution to this problem?

    the only time I have ever seen "your cl_dlls" is when I try to join a server with a different version (ie. a beta 4 server while you are running beta 4a). Very strange indeed.

    i have been having the same prob....im gonna go on g4b2s and see if i can get in....i ope some1 will post some info to help this out.

    yup, i can join g4b2s servers but none other... maybe ill try a beta4 not 4a.... some feedback would be good.

    alright.i figured some of it out.i have installed the beta4a patch several times, and i get the clinet.dll thing, and i can only join g4b2s and beta4 servers, btw g4b2s is beta4 server.. this doesnt make sense.i did the beta4a,buti can only join beta4 servers still.... <!--emo&::asrifle::--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html//emoticons/asrifle.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='asrifle.gif' /><!--endemo-->

    i may have found the solution, cuz i'm able to get connected to beta 4a servers.

    first i backup all my customized files, then uninstalled NS. Then I deleted: SteamUI.dll, ClientRegistry.blob, halflife engine.gcf, platform.gcf.
    Then i reinstalled NS v3b1, then installed NS v3b4, then added the b4a patch.


    everything seems to be going fine.

    and make sure that after you installed all the NS programs, that you don't end up getting double directories ie. halflie/nsp/nsp, since sometimes it can happen.

    I can't even SEE where to download the beta 4a patch. All I see is "Beta 4". What the hell has happened?

    Hint for you guys.Reason you can only join beta4 and not beta4a is because there is a subfolder in NSP\ called NSP again so move that to the NSP folder and there you go.

    ....did that updated ns,and nsp.....ill play around with the deleting of files, reinstalling etc...



    i just came to edit this post, before i went through the trouble of deleting bla bla bla....i just went and installed the b4a patch again, and installed it,and it works now... try d/ling the installer again just 2 make sure ppl
