    Last time I checked, there's room. Of course... I haven't gone onos much since the days of 2.0.

    Besides, they seem to be slippery to me - I can hit a skulk just fine when he is running, but a stationary target ! can't hit it to save my life! <!--QuoteEnd--> </td></tr></table><div class='postcolor'> <!--QuoteEEnd-->
    I can't agree more. On some servers where lag and system resources seem to be a game issue you can actually shoot at stationary targets and not hit them. You have no idea how many times i have filled an egg with an entire clip of lmg and not killed it. I usually manage to kill the lifeform once evolved, but something about requiring an entire freaking clip to do sufficient damage to a larvae (in the egg) in order to kill it outright. This is not to say that you should be able to kill 3-4 one one clip... or even 2, but requiring an entire clip even at lvl0 weaps seems just a bit odd to me.

    I get tired of not dying as an egg when I knew I should only to slaughter 2-3 marines before finally going down as a skulk. Then I get accused of cheating and/or being some lame hacker. Don't get me wrong, I usually take that as a complement, but the fact that so many people complain about it makes me think that having so much health (combined with server limitations) makes the egg's health a little unbelievable. It doesn't have to be realistic as not much in the game is "realistic", but most of it is believable. When some aspect of the game seems unbelievable no matter how much it may contribute to balance of the game, something needs to be done. Perhaps if the egg's health reflected a 40 bullet capacity rather than the full 50. That'd make people a bit happier.

    My 2 cents.

    I kill eggs because I can hit a stationary target <!--emo&:D--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html//emoticons/biggrin.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='biggrin.gif' /><!--endemo-->

    What would be kinda cool, is if the egg was kinda see through adn you could see the skulk morphin into whatever and the egg sorta changed shape that would be pretty, then gained health up until it had as much as the creature it was going to <!--emo&:D--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html//emoticons/biggrin.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='biggrin.gif' /><!--endemo-->

    so skulk to onos egg would start weak then gain health quite fast <!--emo&:D--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html//emoticons/biggrin.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='biggrin.gif' /><!--endemo-->

And an onos and a fade can DEFINATELY survive the fall damage and then get healed up by the hive. Rafters are also a good place to gestate.

    I think it's fine... but hey majority and balance rule. <!--QuoteEnd--></td></tr></table><div class='postcolor'><!--QuoteEEnd-->
    Try evolving into an onos ontop of eclipse command hive on eclipse. Subspace array on nancy's pretty tough too. Cargo Storage and Sewer on agora's pretty tricky. Hamasaki system and AE35 System Controll on ayumi ares a tad hard. Generator on Caged is tricky. All hives on hera are impossible even while jump evolving. All hive on lost are impossible as well. Smelter on metal is also impossible, and good luck with surface access. All mineshaft hive's are impossible. All of nancy's hive's are impossible. All nothing's hive's are impossible. All origin's hive's are impossible. Tanith and Veil are the only maps that have all 3 hives easily gestatable by an onos. I'm not saying that some of the hives I mentioned before can't be gestated on, it's just that In my 5 minutes of testing I couldn't do it. If you can, show me a demo so I can see how you did it. I didn't mention all the hives but there are a few hives which you can't gestate on no matter what, because you can't get on top of them like: Cargo Storage on agora and Smelter on metal.

    there are nearly no hives in NS that support evolving to onos on top of. The onos is simply too many units tall. The only one that MIGHT work off the top of my head is com core in eclipse.

    uhm.. wrong. ALOT of hives support onos gestating. YEt the time to find the right spot ontop of it usually takes longer then the gest itself.
