Dieting doesn't mean "eat less", it means "eat right". A LOT of people need to get that ridiculous idea out of their heads, that they can be healthier and be "dieting" just by eating less. Dieting means to have a proper, healthy diet.

Eat less, do more.<!--QuoteEnd--></div><!--QuoteEEnd-->
i eat more and do more. specifically i eat about 5-6k calories a day, and am training five days a week, three days muay thai and two days plyo and powerlifting. i've never been stronger or more aesthetically fit in my entire life. my girlfriend likes it a lot.
Actually, the mantra of the nutritionist, and personal trainers is "Eat the right foods for what you are doing." There's no point eating 3k calories a day, and going to the gym for 5 hours a day, because it will exhasut your body, doing more harm than good.
I had made the mistaken assumption that people would be able to judge for themselves what 'eat less do more' actually means. I considered it to be a given that a balanced diet is good for you.
Obviously people need more babysitting than those four words will do.
If you are 300 pounds (ie, morbidly obese) I'm sure just eating less (regardless of what) and doing more walking, swimming or regular activities will help you loose weight.
Sure when you are healthy already (zig) what needs to change. If you burn 6k calories a day then you eat 6k calories a day.
So what I should have said is 'make your calorific intake smaller than your calorific output to loose weight. Oh and make it a balanced diet.' Not quite as catchy is it?

I read a lot of web comics. Never try to tell non-geeks how good they are. IT'S IMPOSSIBLE.

they say you should eat more often, ia 6 smaller meals instead of 2-3 huge ones.
apperantly its supposed to help your metabolism to burn more off.
