i suggested this on a server a while back and everyone thought it was cool ideas!
marines get a flamethrower turret which is high damage and AOE but shortrange and constant fire and kills webs in base!! limit like, 2 per TF to prevent instant 'onos-be-graped' spam
aliens get a tower that doesnt give ability or res (god 4bid) but it creates webs on a full scale 360, a web heads out in 8 directions* angling randomly up/straight/down, only available at 3rd hive. but isnt a web spam so 1 can only be created so far apart from another
*the normal 0, 45, 90, 135, 180, 225, 270, 315, 360 angles

I suggested this on on an NS server a while back and everybody thought it was a good idea!
Marines should receive a new type of turret, which is equipped with a flamethrower. The turret causes high damage, and is also an 'area of effect' weapon. It would also have the ability to destroy webs in range.
Some of it's short comings would include:
A short range, possibly 4-5 meters at most.
A limit of two flamethrower turrets per Factory.
Aliens would get a new chamber, that does not give a new set of abilities, or resources (god forbid). However, it creates webs on a full 360 degree axis horizontally. A random web will generate in 8 directions, measured by horizontal degrees viewed overhead. The web will angle randomly: either up and down, or straightwards.
The 8 directions (measured in degrees from a topscale view) in which webs would be generated at is:
45, 90, 135, 180, 225, 270, 315, 360
In order to prevent overpowering the aliens, a limit would be introduced to where you cannot build this chamber until you get a third hive.
