i thing they did read it but i think it is still the fact that if the gorge stops in a combat area the onos has some play room where he still gains energy
there would need to be a cool down on the stationary chamber activate time.
quetion just for clarification if a gorge has a SC he doesnt get cloaked yeah.. but if he stands near antoehr gorge sc, or a stationary SC does he get cloaked, cos if he doesnt if hes a sitting duck and these chambers are purely for other units, yet hinder the gorge from reciveing upgrades and effect from that said chamber type then its almost not worth it
why should i put a MC on my back have no upgrades not be effected by it or any other mc worn or droped, and why should i have to sit in the back lines and play a move up camp move up camp type of game to help my team to have them run off ahead and leave me to get killed?
i like the idea but if you restrict its uses to much it become ni useless and just complicates things

I was reading the previous posts spawn of chaos, but ignored the "should work when not moving part" because of NEX9's reason exactly. The gorge needs to have fun too, sitting in the same spot for 5 minutes while your onos continously stomps a pack of rines is not fun. AND the gorge should be affected by the chamber on it's back. i.e. it gets cloaked with an SC, moves faster with an MC, more armour with a DC, etc etc. Let's not make the gorge a sitting duck, and useless when it's moving.
There has to be some other way of balancing this then making the gorge set up a fire and pitch a tent everytime theres a stalmate in a small area.
Make the chamber only have half effectiveness on anyone else.
Make the chamber have full effectiveness on the gorge. If the gorge wants to heal someone to death and take the chance of losing a large amount of res, that's his perogative. The ability and chance of doing it, would add skill and survivability for a very weak offensive creature. A def. chamber doens't heal THAT much given a short amount of time anyhow. Even if it added 50 armor, it'd have the armor akin to a weak fade... You can lmg a fade down :x. lol.
Sure, you can think of these impossible 'exploits' that you could feasibly do (dc/mc/dc) trio gorge team. That is that gorge team going to do against one shotgunner, and an lmg'er? Die? ya...they're going to die. One 10-res investment kill like 60+ res from aliens.....
This idea while neat and shiney when it is all polished up isn't as such...........while this could be a possible upgrade it isn't a very pliable in-game option because it would deter ppl from either becoming gorges because they'd be pigeonholed into a support cast of play and unable to do the gorge thing rather be a movable chamber............

i think that rather growing a chamber on its back, it could pick up any chamber that has been built and carry it with all of the abilities as described in the original post. this would also give gorges the ability to move chambers that were miss placed or to put them into areas where they are better used and move them up forward to the front line, really giving gorges a builder role.
-edit and i'd love to see the chamber on its back, it would really give that that Super Mario charm that gorges have <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/biggrin-fix.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":D" border="0" alt="biggrin-fix.gif" />
