1.01 Connect As A Client To A 1.01 Server ?

What if I have 2 PCs that at anytime I want to use as a server and I applied the patch to both of them. Can one connect to the other as being a client ?
I mean, is there a problem for a 1.01 patch NS to connect as a client to a 1.01 patch NS server ?
That way I can work on the client PC for my projects but keep an eye on the game as an admin (2 PCs not in same room). Both PCs are patched so they can act as a server.

I tried the patch on my Play PC and started a server on it. Just to check if there was any problems before I upgraded my Server.
Now I run the 1.01 on both my Server and Play PC.
