<div class="IPBDescription">Or, Make fun of people for listening to Abba</div>Welcome to the music circlejerk megathread, where we post our playlists, comment on each other, and give suggestions for music for others, whether its based off of your own list, or suggesting to someone else what they might like.

I'm linking the playlist so as to avoid OMGHUGE walls of text.

<a href="http://www.uni.edu/af545327/playlist.txt" target="_blank">http://www.uni.edu/af545327/playlist.txt</a>

Aaaand... I just realized half of my AIC unplugged album is missing...
I have too much Evanescence, considering I really don't like them that much anymore
Porcupine Tree is the best band. Ever.
And I deleted the Kill Bill soundtrack just now, since I don't listen to anything on them except "Don't Let Me Be Misunderstood" every once in a while.

If you're using foobar like me and can't generate a spiffy html playlist like Winamp ( <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/mad-fix.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid="" border="0" alt="mad-fix.gif" /> ), select everything and hit 'copy names' then put it in notepad.

My current ipod music artist list:

    <a href="http://www.tomopdam.com/temp/ipodmusic.txt" target="_blank">http://www.tomopdam.com/temp/ipodmusic.txt</a>

Mostly I listen to the heavy metal bands though.

Edit: Oh. You listen to Linkin Park. Your 'I'm depressed' thread makes a lot more sense now.

i took a cursory look at your playlist...

    and found the unholy triumvirate!

    AUDIOSLAVE
    STONE TEMPLE PILOTS
    PEARL JAM

each of which makes me want to hurt myself. by their powers combined, i want to kill myself! lol

not because the music is bad, but because if i listen to more than one song in a row, the vocals start blending together into the exact same sound over and over, raownaownaooowwww waoooooooooo naaaooorrraowwww. i just can't stand their vocals :|

other than that... i listen to a lot of the stuff you have in there.

my playlist is constantly changing, but some highlights this month would be:

    Cake - The Distance
    Bad Religion - Sorrow
    The Raconteurs - Level
The Pixies - Where Is My Mind
    Radiohead - Talk Show Host
    Nada Surf - Popular

    all time favorite bands:
Weezer, Offspring, Killers, White Stripes, Green Day (sorry lolz), Jimmy Eat World, Sublime, Smashing Pumpkins... there's a lot.

    always on the training/lifting playlist:
    RATM, Rammstein, other angry sh*.

<b>edit: don't know where to start with IRON MAIDEN!!?!?!</b>

you definitely want to throw these tracks in there first:
    Ghost of the Navigator
    The Trooper

they're legendary, and that can be daunting, but i'd say that's a good place to start.

Looky! I don't know how many of you have forgotten about this but the NS forums have a <a href="http://www.last.fm/group/Natural+Selection+Forums" target="_blank">group on last.fm</a>.

My own list is <a href="http://www.last.fm/user/Chemikhazi" target="_blank">here</a>. Eh. Ignore "paramore" and "the used", thats just my sister listening on my computer. Point me to something that sounds similar to muse and madrugada. Also mittens.

I'm far too lazy to import all of my CD's onto iTunes so I don't have any sort of comprehensive list, but basically I like most old Green Day, Rancid, The Aquabats, Mighty Mighty Bosstones, and lots and lots of Sublime (seriously 40 oz. to Freedom is almost always in my car CD player). I also listen to other random ska and other random stuff. So basically if anyone knows of any good ska bands put em up.

Sorry mate. It's just Marilyn Manson crossed with Eric Singer. Nothing metal about that, except possibly his gratuitous Prince Albert.

Hmm... My tastes are kinda all over the place. I'm not gonna list everything on my playlist, but here are some of the things I can think of off the top of my head, with my favourite two at the top:

Great Big Sea (Haven't heard a whole lot of them... They're a Newfoundland folk-rock band)
    Miyavi (Japanese rock singer)
Rammstein (Probably don't need an introduction, but a German metal and industrial band)
    Weird Al (Hurrr)
Kagrra (Another Japanese band, but I can't really pinpoint what genre they fit in)
    Loituma (Finnish group)
Regicide (Another German band, but goth metal this time. Only heard their latest album)
    ROUND TABLE (Japanese pop band)
    Save Ferris (Ska punk band)

Those are pretty much the groups I listen to. After that, there are a bunch of individual songs. I have a few A Perfect Circle songs, too. I also listen to the hardcore, house and gabber stations on DI.fm.

No playlist here, move on. Why?

    Because I can.

    Nah, just nowhere to upload.

I suggest Subway to Sally, very good german folk-rock-metal-kinda-band...

You will probably not understand a word but you listen to Rammstein too, eh?

So, this one of my songs (yes I share it with you, this my bandwith you use you *******s!) If this is not allowed in here I remove the link asap.

Yeah, good job continuing the tradition of cliche-wannabe-music-knowitall. Have fun with that.

I'd do a traditional export, but iTunes isn't wanting to cooperate. So artists only, and only ones whom I've got a significant amount of tracks for(1cd or more).

    A Perfect Circle
    AC/DC
    The Academy Is...
    Aerosmith
    AFI
    Alizee
    Angels And Airwaves
    At the Drive-In
    Audio Adrenaline
    Audioslave
Bach(this is just a huge thing of his stuff done by various orchestras, with at least 15 versions of the song "Air", as its one of my favorite classical tunes evar)
    Beastie Boys
    Broken Social Scene
    Cake
    Chevelle
    Circa Survive
    Circle Takes the Square
    Common
    Dashboard Confessional
    Death From Above 1979
    Eminem
    Flyleaf
    Fort Minor
    Handsome Boy Modeling School
    Incubus
    Jimmy Eat World
    John Mayer
    Janis Joplin
    Junius
    Jurassic 5
    The Killers
    Lenny Kravitz
    Linkin Park
    The Mars Volta
    Muse
    My Chemical Romance
    Nine Inch Nails
    Queens of the Stone Age
    Rage Against the Machine
    Sarah McLachlan
    Slipknot
    The Spill Canvas
    System of a Down
    Taking Back Sunday
    Third Eye Blind
    Thrice
    Thursday
    Tool
    Utada Hikaru
    Wolfmother
    Yeah Yeah Yeahs
Yellowcard(all CDs before Lights and Sounds...wasn't a big fan of L&S)

    Then I've got soundtracks to:
    Cowboy Bebop
    Chobits
    Chrono Trigger
    Final Fantasy 7
    FLCL
    Neon Genesis Evangelion
    Halo 1&2
    Half-Life 2
    Kingdom Hearts 1&2
    Sin Episodes(wow good music)

A few that miss that list because of a odd iPod screwup, are Acceptance, 30 Seconds to Mars, A Tribe Called Quest, Ashlee Sipmson(lawlr), Avril Lavigne, Christina Aguilera, Daft Punk, Dido, Johnny Lang, B.B. King, Fall Out Boy, Fuel, Goo Goo Dolls, Gorillaz, Hootie and The Blowfish, Ima Robot, Incubus, Jay-Z, Jem, Jet, John Lennon, Justin Timberlake, Lost Prophets, Maroon 5, Opeth(thanks Testament), Nobuo Uematsu, Pearl Jam, Robert Cray, Scars of Life(woot for my old Kazaa days...was misnamed a TMV song, ended up enjoying it), Sunny Day Real Estate, Susan Vega, Three Days Grace, Theory of A Dead Man, Tal Bachman, Train, U2, Usher, and Yes.

Edit: And these days, I listen mostly to:

    The Mars Volta(/lovetothemax)
    At the Drive-In(/cry)
    Queens of the Stone Age
    My Chemical Romance
    Common
    Circle Takes the Square
    Thursday
    Tool

And mods, I'm pretty sure its okay. That site has had those links up for years, and its a very prominent fan site. I don't think LucasArts cares.
