<div class="IPBDescription">Related to HL2Files's NS Catergories. </div>As some of you may already have noticed, I've starting to mirror a lot of new NS files due to the NS forums are back up again which has been for a while now. But I have a question regarding the map categories:
<a href="http://halflife2.filefront.com/files/Half-Life/Mods/Natural_Selection/Maps;6559" target="_blank">http://halflife2.filefront.com/files/Half-...ction/Maps;6559</a>
You see "CO" "NS" and "Training Maps". Should I put all the Siege maps in to NS, or should I create a new Category called "Siege"?
Regards,
Skyrider

# Maps
* CO Maps
* NS Maps
* Siege Maps
* Training Maps
Should I change the CO Maps, NS Maps, etc to normal "CO" "NS", "Siege", etc? Because:
Natural Selection > Maps > NS Maps:
Not sure If it is good to see Maps twice in the category.
As I've seen the NS Categories, I just had to make some changes. I've made a lot of changes, and everything is now as followed:
<!--quoteo--><div class='quotetop'>QUOTE</div><div class='quotemain'><!--quotec-->
Natural Selection - Add subcategory
* Releases
o v3.0
+ Server Files
o v3.1
+ Server Files
o v3.2
+ Server Files
* Maps
o CO Maps
o NS Maps
o Siege Maps
o Training Maps
* Models
o Alien Buildings
o Marine Structures
o Players
o Weapons
* Patches
o Server Files
* Skins
o Alien Buildings
o Marine Structures
o Players
o Weapons
* Sound Packs
<!--QuoteEnd--></div><!--QuoteEEnd-->
* = The main Section
o = Category in the section
+ = Sub-Category
Any changes that has to be made in your opinion? Or things to be added?
I've been also thinking to "remove" the patch section, and move it to releases. But I don't want to make it under my ways. I want people to easily get the files whenever needed in the correct categories. There for I asked here, so you guys can give me opinions, and changes that has to be made.
Also: I'd make the categories named something like this.
Maps-
*Classic maps (Ns_)
*Combat maps (Co_)
*Fun maps
*Training Maps
Personally I'd make the category "Fun maps" or "Non-Serious maps" that was it can cover all non-serious map ground, which includes siege and such.<!--QuoteEnd--></div><!--QuoteEEnd-->
Done that already, but thanks. Someone suggested that this afternoon on IRC.

"Category name contains a hook or whatever it is called "(". Submitted category is Classic maps (NS). Please remove this from the category name", pretty lame. With other words, I can't use ( , ) and special symbols.
Either way, It's the following now:
<!--quoteo--><div class='quotetop'>QUOTE</div><div class='quotemain'><!--quotec-->Natural Selection - Add subcategory
* Maps
o Classic Maps
o Combat Maps
o Fun Maps
+ Siege Maps
o Old Maps
o Training Maps<!--QuoteEnd--></div><!--QuoteEEnd-->
Do ignore the old maps. I had to create it due to there were way too many maps just placed in the maps folder. They could have been maps before the Combat got added in to the game. So I will move them to the old maps section first, and see later on if I have to move them.
<!--quoteo--><div class='quotetop'>QUOTE</div><div class='quotemain'><!--quotec-->Natural Selection - Add subcategory

o Classic
+ Sample
o Combat
o Fun

o Old (well you added it <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/tounge.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":p" border="0" alt="tounge.gif" />)
o Training
<!--QuoteEnd--></div><!--QuoteEEnd-->
I added sample at Classic. This is an opensource sample map for beginner mappers to have a look at how things work for classic mapping. It's just one map, but still very different from other classic maps <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/smile-fix.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":)" border="0" alt="smile-fix.gif" />

Btw what do you mean with training, are you refering to the <a href="http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/index.php?s=3016017916000481792&showtopic=90930" target="_blank">tutorial map</a> created by Meat Posicle?
You could also put ns_bhop in the training section <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/smile-fix.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":)" border="0" alt="smile-fix.gif" />

Also, I changed it to this now:
<!--quoteo--><div class='quotetop'>QUOTE</div><div class='quotemain'><!--quotec-->
Natural Selection - Add subcategory
* Maps
o Classic
o Combat
o Fun
+ AvA
+ MvM

You see the changes there, but not the new changes I just made.. The categories only renders 2 times a day. But my question is.. Should I keep the "Releases" Category, or should I rename it to something else?
On the NS site they call their installation files section "Game Downloads" But releases sounds fine I think
