Slow Motion sound in Linux

<div class="IPBDescription">Runs perfect except for sound</div>I recently installed NS in Ubuntu Edgy Eft, a linux distribution.

The problem is that when I start up NS, everything works perfectly fine except all the sounds coming from the game play in slow motion (sound effects, music, even voices coming from players).

Sure, we could all say that Linux is to blame, but the strange thing is that all other HL1 mods (and HL2, for that matter), run perfectly fine. It's only in NS that I am experiencing this problem.

So... this leads to me to believe that NS itself is at fault.

I've tried reinstalling the mod, and even on another version of Ubuntu. However, it's still the same thing.

What's going on with NS? Is there something about the way it's programmed that causes this?

Does anybody actually have it working perfectly in Ubuntu?

This really doesn't belong in the bug forum since only a handful of people can respond to threads here, and because while people have gotten NS to run on Linux it isn't officially supported by any means.

I'm moving this to Tech Support to see if anyone can be off assistance to you.

but all of my other steam mods and games work fine.
