NS does work on windows 64 bit but it has the 'downloadble gam' problem that makes the game really dark. I recall someone said how to fix this but can't find it using search so has anyone got ns work near perfect in win64?

cl_gammaramp 0
It will still keep the game dark, but it gives you the right colors and removes the attempted gamma ramp force aswell as the error message. You will then have to use some other 3rd party software to increase the brightness/gamma of the game if you need to.

I dunno; I'm sure we could've done something about it, but when I made the (rather ugly) cl_gammaramp 0, I didn't (and I still don't) have a 64bit system to test it with. Coding and testing blindly isn't easy <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/tounge.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":p" border="0" alt="tounge.gif" />
Anyway, it serves its purpose for now, and it allows people to use their 3rd party programs for gamma without NS trying to interfer with it.
The problem with just using gamma boost is that you lose the colors. Like there's no saturation. If you turn off gammaramp and then boost the gamma via powerstrip etc then the game looks dull.. But if you turn it back on(I know not possible on 64bit) you get the vibrant colors again.

Didin't think it could be compatability with my OS that was causing NS to be so dark...
