MultiManagers

<div class="IPBDescription">How to make them activate dual targets from one switch?</div>Can someone give me a quick crash course in multimanagers? I looked on snarkpit and Halfwit... nothing about em there <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/sad-fix.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":(" border="0" alt="sad-fix.gif" />

I need a switch to activate 2 doors that have different delays. One is a set of locks, the other is the door itself. I tried using delays on the doors themselves, but no dice- the delay didn't effect it at all for some reason. I tried using a button and an invisible one behind it, but only one of them would trigger at once.

I'm trying to find some tuts online, but so far I haven't found anything useful for someone like moi who has no idea how to use MM's at all.

Any ideas yall?

-EDIT

Nevermind, I managed to make it work with Trigger Relays. If anyone wants to tell me how MM's are used, I'd be much obliged <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/smile-fix.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":)" border="0" alt="smile-fix.gif" /> But for now, problem solved <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/biggrin-fix.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":D" border="0" alt="biggrin-fix.gif" />

Multimanagers are stunningly simple, you create the entity, then click "smart mode", then the "add" button, to add a key. The name of the key should be the name of the entity you wish to trigger, the value contains the delay.

So, for your two doors, it would be something along the lines of "Smartedit" --> "add" --> Key: "door1", value "0" (instant), "add" --> key "door2", value 2 (2 seconds after triggering).

Give the multimanager a name, like "manager1" and have the button target it.

    Good luck!

Ah, wasn't sure if that'd work or not.

I wound up just using a set of trigger's and it works just as well <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/smile-fix.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":)" border="0" alt="smile-fix.gif" /> Might change it to save an entity if needed later on down the road <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/smile-fix.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":)" border="0" alt="smile-fix.gif" />
