ok i havent thorgh about this much and dont know how hard it would be to do
so i will leave that up to you guys,
i was thinking of something like an alien that can eat into the infestation and tunnel in it.
and even have a 2nd/3rd hive abiltiy that can put some kind of goo to stop the walls from closing behind him.
so that skulks can follow the trail

I wouldn't think the creep would be thick enough for some kind of tunnel (see video).
