The Croquet Project

No, not that kind of Croquet...
I was recently shown this at a local 2600 meeting and was wondering if anyone here has played around with it at all?
The Croquet Project is not the game with mallets and wickets, although it could be. It's not really a game at all. It is an open source environment, that allows the creation of objects, similar to what is done in Second Life. However, it can also be used to run other applications and all sots of nifty things. I could go on for pages with what can be done with it, but I won't since I don't even know its limits. If you decide to play with it just remember that it is still in beta.
