Realistic steam

<div class="IPBDescription">how to make</div>ok i have been trying to create steam that is realistic, now i know one way to do this is to make several sprites make them get bigger as they go out and slow down there frame rate . iv tryed this but it doesnt seam to look real . how can i make better looking steam


and yes i know there are probly topics covering this but i couldnt find them

    Your best bet is to use NS's (quite awesome) particle system. Look for the entity <!--coloro:#FFFF66--><span style="color:#FFFF66"><!--/coloro-->env_particles_custom<!--colorc--></span><!--/colorc-->. I don't know of a good walkthrough on the entity -- maybe someone else can chime in with a link or explanation as I suck at explaining things.

    But there is a tool called NSPEdit made by one of the users on this board. It was a bit buggy the last time I tried it, but it got the job done. Do a search for it.

    Use the point entity: env_steam.
