Can you run the game and load up the map manually?
From the looks of it, you've got an address wrong somewhere since it is cut off. Hence, it can't find what it is looking for. Check your settings for game directory and such.
Oh and is this Hammers compiler or is this Batch Compiler?

I seem to remember having that problem too... I do all my work in c:\worldcraft... then have the batch file copy the map.. Course i use hammer 3.5
I compile to a folder on my desktop, then manually copy the .bsp over to my ns/maps folder. I then run NS and try to start the game manually.
It's Batch Compiler.
I re-compiled an older version of the map, it doesn't have this problem However, it's also missing a LOT of architexture work and I'd really hate to have to re-start from that point <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/sad-fix.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":(" border="0" alt="sad-fix.gif" />
Please, I'm dying for some help on this. I really don't want to have to re-do almost half my map <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/sad-fix.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":(" border="0" alt="sad-fix.gif" />
I dont know this error, but i would try searching for the string "C:/Program Files/Valve/Steam/SteamApps/chip_trekie@msn.com/half" in your .map file.. if the "-life/ns" is missing there fix it right in the code and make sure that you used proper quotation marks.
The .map file is fine mate. It's the .bsp that seems to be wrong. I know the compiler is set up right because compiling an older version of the map gave me no errors on loading the game.
This is just a game-load thing. I dont' know what it thinks it's missing... but I'll look around for that string on my PC
I have neither added since last compile mate <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/sad-fix.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":(" border="0" alt="sad-fix.gif" />
However-
I did recently discover that I had an entity with the clip texture on all of it's faces. This gave me a strange error. I am now recompiling on full with said problem fixed to see if it works. I'll know once I get back from uni <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/biggrin-fix.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":D" border="0" alt="biggrin-fix.gif" />
Nothing... it did nothing <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/sad-fix.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":(" border="0" alt="sad-fix.gif" /> And I checked for that line- it didn't turn up once. What file do you want me to check? The .bsp? the .map?
EDIT- I removed EVERY Entity from my map except the map critical ones. Guess what- back in business... now I need to find out what ones were mucking it up <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/sad-fix.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":(" border="0" alt="sad-fix.gif" />
Yeah, I know. Just I had a lot of entities doing things, especially now that I learned how to properly use the func_weld in conjunction with the trigger_changetarget +buttons <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/biggrin-fix.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":D" border="0" alt="biggrin-fix.gif" /> Thanks to all that helped walk me thru it.
I know I'm a somewhat difficult person to teach something to- I'm a very hands on learner, so an explination often doens't quite do it for me. I have to physically do whatever it is while being told what to do. After a little repetition, I'll be fine <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/biggrin-fix.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":D" border="0" alt="biggrin-fix.gif" />
Now, the map loads fine <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/biggrin-fix.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":D" border="0" alt="biggrin-fix.gif" /> Just, it crashes as soon as you join a team <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/sad-fix.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":(" border="0" alt="sad-fix.gif" /> *sigh*
Oh yeah. I don't know what's going on ATM... *sighs*
If I host the map, could you take a look at it? I'm at the end of my rope at the moment <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/sad-fix.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":(" border="0" alt="sad-fix.gif" />

If I gave you the .rmf file, could you take a look thru it and help me find what's wrong? I'm out of ideas as to what to check <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/sad-fix.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":(" border="0" alt="sad-fix.gif" />

I haven't used any custom models at all.... only the two team starts and the player start + res nodes and a comchair/hive.
Have you added either since your first build?
Remove the ones you added (or particle systems using sprites) since the last successful compile, and save to a different RMF file and compile.
If you haven't added any models, check your sprites.

add a light... try to compile
add a multimanager... etc... etc...
one or one type is causing it to freak out. Just a process of elimination.

By this you mean?
All sections of the map work beautiful on their own (it's how I found the problem)
Thing is, I put em together, and I get an unreferenced memory thing... I also found this in my compile log.
BasePortalVis:
(1.38 seconds)

Meh?
I had a concave illusionary entity that BC did NOTlike at all!
That, and my use of hint brushes is horrible and that was cuasing some funky stuff... removed em,and I'm back in action- now to lowermyr-speeds:D
I appologize for the lack of spacing-I'm on myroomies PC atm asmine is doing a full compile, and his spacebark is broken and only works half the time.
this time, when you join a team you stay in the RR... and the map will randomly crash with a
"Memory could not be "read"" error
This also happens every time you try to quit or disconnect
*sigh*
